            If you've signed up for a 5k run, have you considered doing the Couch to 5k programme? I've started it again after starting a few months ago and then giving up because it was just too cold and wet to motivate myself to start.
My other advice is not to go too hard at first by trying to change everything. Start gradually by reducing the amount of diet coke you drink or whatever and replacing one meal a day with something that's healthier. If you try and do everything at once then chances are you'll get fed up and quit.

Unless you're a body builder trying to gain muscle mass, I think scales are absolutely pointless (and evil). xxx

Its so difficult when you dont have the motivation I am the same, I know what to eat and how much its just doing it.
What I say is that I have now done a weekly pampering ritual. Nails polished, hair deep conditioned, nice hot soak in the bath, deep exfoliation and a lovely sented body lotion of a gradual tan. For me it makes me feel alot better about myself and then I seem to have the motivation to eat a little better. I think having a little bit of confidence in yourself is a huge encouragement to excercise and eat better.
Also if like me you eat rubbish food for breakfast lunch and dinner try changing one thing at a time and reducing your portions slowly.

Don't think so, they're 45 mins long each. The DVDs are worth it though, 3 payments of £33 and you get all the stuff like the calendar and nutrition plan as well.
