Fill in the form online at Passport Office website - they'll check and send to you with a list of what docs you need.
    Normal cost is about £77.50

  • They are taking along time to do passports at the moment , be very cautious before you book a holiday that you will get it back in time before you go

If you're not in any hurry I would wait until September as the price is being reduced for passports.

I agree, unless he wants to go away in October - with the current delays it would be foolish to only give them a month.

You can pick up a form at your local Post Office - you do NOT need them to check it.

Just fill in sections 1,2,3 and 9 - if you have changed and can't be recognised from your old passport picture get section 10 countersigned and one photo certified.

You will need 2 photographs, your old passport and the fee of £77.50 or if you wait until 3rd September before you submit it you will only have to pay £72.50

If you don't have your old passport you will need to complete for LS01 and get section 10 countersigned. All the instructions, photo standards and criteria for countersigning are all in the information booklet that comes with your application pack. All information is also on the website.

Someone else should hopefully confirm first but I'd say no. That's just for if you lose the passport (i.e. someone else may have it and be using it fraudulently). As long as you still have it to send to them, you should be fine.
