Yeah it is costly but still doesnt give an excuse for a last min drop out or no show. £400 is easily spent. We've got a wedding planned for next year and i suspect we'll spend a small fortune. Kilt hire £90, new dress (hopefully not as much) £90, present + card £90, room for night before + wedding night £300, drinks all weekend and night before meal for 2 £100, travel £80 = total £800. Hopefully it will work out cheaper but I'm not so sure! Obviously its our choice to stay in the hotel they are marrying in and the cost of the present, outfit cost etc. If we cant afford it we'll cut back, if we couldn't afford the travel and a room anywhere we'd decline the invite and not wait until the last min!
