Hi - I put in a bid and won and it said that the item could be delivered for an agreed fee - so I emailed them twice for delivery costs before auction ended and got no reply then got an email and they said it would be £150 delivery and they would need £100 cleared cheque first before delivery - they are only in berks so I sent them message saying sorry cant afford that amount and will have to cancel - how do I cancel this please????? - many thanks

You can't cancel once you have placed a bid and won an auction. If the seller wants you could both mutually agree not to complete the transaction.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Firstly the seller has to agree to risk this, and very few sellers will. The seller would then raise a 'mutual' non paying bidder claim and you as the buyer would then confirm to ebay that you don't want the item and are not going to pay. The dispute is then closed and the seller gets back their Final value fees and you don't get a strike on your account. However the seller might still want you to pay his listing fees before he will agree to a mutual dispute.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. £100 delivery??? What on earth did you buy?
I would contact the seller and say something like:
"Hi!
Sorry but that amount for delivery is unfortunately out of my budget range! I'd be able to pay x amount for delivery so if that is possible please let me know. Otherwise I will unfortunately have to withdraw from the deal.
If it is not possible to arrange delivery for an affordable amount then please offer it as a second chance to the second highest bidder..." etc
Depends on how you do it but you will probably end up as a non-performing bidder on this one... unless they agree to not complete ofcourse...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

it was stated also that cash in full on delivery it said nothing about before delivery and nothing was stated for delivery amounts - I had emailed twice before to ask for price of delivery but got no reply until after I had "won" the bid - feel a little angry about this!!!Comp wins 2013:160 finish quantum tabs, 2xtickets private screening of prisoners(Jake n Hugh 2)

When a buyer asks you to contact before bidding to get a delivery quote and then does not respond that should be a clue that all is possibly not well.
It is risky at best to buy something without confirming costs before hand.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
