I'd email HQ of the company - CEO if need be.

I did this re noise and extreme cold at a different hotel (due to the window wouldn't close) and was given a full refund, after threatening to issue Court proceedings, for breach of contract, as the room wasn't fit for purpose, ie to sleep in.

The hotel is not a part of a chain.

Also, you were right to complain for the breach of rights, however it would not have been for "not being fit for purpose", it would be for not of satisfactory quality or not being as described.

They have a 3 star AA rating, so it may be possible to complain to them, however i doubt much will be done by them.

You can take them to small claims court, however whether you will win or not is another matter. Unfortunately the lack of customer service is not enough to be able to make a claim. You would need to prove that either the hotel mis-sold the stay to you.
