I don't particularly agree with the OPs viewpoint but, neither do I agree with a collective virtual kicking and if she has any sense she'll stop the feeding frenzy.
A cyber pat on the back?
People are sick and tired of people standing with their hands out for more.0 -

If you're that sick and tired of it, then why frequent a benefits forum? This forum is not for the purpose of playing judge, jury, and executioner.0

The OP started the thread to moan that in this day and age people shouldn't be expected not to have a phone internet and Sky TV-was she even asking for advice?
The OP started a thread asking/talking about benefits in the appropriate setting of a benefits forum, and the problem with that is?
The real question is, are posters who are vitriolically opposed to such questions/discussions on the right board?0 -

The real question is, are posters who are vitriolically opposed to such questions/discussions on the right board?I find this incredible in this day and age and think it unfair that people are expected to have nothing to make life a bit more pleasant, no wonder there is so much depression in this country.0 -
those were her last words. Nothing before that was asking for any advice about benefits. Maybe she should have put it in the Vent and Praise part of the forum, or discussion time?
She doesn't need your permission to post any query/statement referring to benefits on this board. Benefits are out of control in this country, no doubt about it but, also out of control is some peoples willingness to dog and heckle a disabled person about a £3 per month sky subscription.
Perhaps neither would be so much of a problem if people attempted to behave better, then this country might stand a chance.
What she does with her motobility vehicle, sky, water rates is ultimately her business and choice. Unless fraudulently gained, any benefit she receives is legitimately hers, if you disagree, use your vote wisely come elections, it's all you or anyone else can do about it.0 -

Like you said, her water rates and Sky Package and free car are indeed her choice and business.
Except, if she hadn't of put them all over an internet forum, nobody would have any idea she had them.
People who are working and getting less than the £300 and the free car and the DLA money are rightly annoyed about what some people get, especially when that person wants more and more.
Unfortunately for certain people who make excuse after excuse, nobody can stop people scrutinsing where benefit money is doled out and commenting on situations they see as self pitying.0 -
I think the problem here has been, the OP has asked for advice and when given that advice, has not liked the answers because it means cutting down here and there...When the OP is not really wanting to cut down but was hoping for a bit more in benefits instead.0
