    Ah, yes, I stand corrected.

I remember years ago, in the days of analogue Sky TV...someone who only had a monitor (no 'terrestrial tuner' incorporated) and just Sky...was still ordered to pay a TV licence as they had a terrestrial aerial outlet.

If you notice that a post is incorrect, can you post the correct information, possibly with a link such as 'xylophone' did below?

    Cheers.

My BT bill should have been paid yesterday, it was not paid so telephone and Internet will be cut off, my very nice neighbour has allowed me to connect using her service for no payment, so that's at least 2 savings made
There's a bit extra money for you every week then, it should ease the burden a little.

Yes your absolutely right it's a 3 year contract and not easy to give up, you can give it up if you lose your drivers but not because you have changed your mind and need the money instead as they say you should have thought of that in the first place.

What if your OH and daughter said they didn't want to drive for you anymore and you didn't have anyone else . . . . ;);););););)

Yea that would work if I wanted to give up the car but as I don't it's irrelevant
not all on benefits are scroungers and don't need to be bullied!

Its an option - that's all people are suggesting . .

You have to consider as many as possible - otherwise I'll think you just posted a rant post;)
  • If I were you OP I would just abandon this thread now, there are some 'contributors' who seem only to be sharpening their knives for you. If this is what a lack of entertainment turns people into, I should keep the Sky if I were you, less damaging on a personal level long term.

I don't know why there are some who become so vexatious and personal toward others, takes all kinds I suppose.

People are just wondering how someone can be claiming poverty whilst living on £300 a week plus a car plus DLA payments.

There are posts on this thread which are nasty, vindictive, and downright insulting and dressing them up as concern, interest, or a vague willingness to help, doesn't cut it to anyone with a pair of eyes in their skull.

I don't particularly agree with the OPs viewpoint but, neither do I agree with a collective virtual kicking and if she has any sense she'll stop the feeding frenzy.
