Judi Major posi-vibes, and barrow-loads of determination for your DS to get past this.

Bargainbird OMG, poor you.:( Do you not have a copy of your letter on file? I always keep official correspondence that I sent on the computer, in case the recipient "loses" the original. Posi-vibes for you, also.

Hugs BB, how awful for you.
The police are involved with DD's problem, but can't mount a 24 hour guard hence her move. The social worker involved didn't understand the instructions she was given & so gave out information she shouldn't!
Hopefully it will all quieten down soon.

Thanks Moorhen. The tests show that if he gets help now the damage is reversable.

Fortunately he has beat worse addictions in his 31 years on this earth. I am certain that if he wants to he can beat this too (if he wants to). Its down to him now.

Walking down to the surgery he said to me 'Mom you always said i have to learn the hard way and i think your right'.

'm hoping he is turning a new chapter in his life.

I hope he can find the strength to help himself xxxx

    Afternoon All

Judi - Hope DS can help himself - he's lucky to have your support.
RR - Glad the dads have been seen.
BB - I had a similar situation, thought tax was paid on a benefit I got and didn't declare it so had a huge tax bill to pay. Had the option to pay it monthly but took it out of my savings in the end to get it off my mind.

Glorious day here, loads of washing dried and ironed already, the South African visitors gave me a pile of washing so that's all done. They are lovely lads but when I asked if they had any washing one of them said 'it's on my bed'. I know they have maids where they live but after one sharp look from me he went and got it!!

Had a fabulous trip today on the Seaplane from Loch Lomond. We went over the hills and lochs out to Jura and it was fantastic. It was a pressie from my 50th so that's my birthday done now (well, it was in March). I even got the front seat.

Off to work at 5, visitors out for dinner and DD can fix her own. Take care. XX
  • RR I read most days but do not post. We are doing ok all things considered, OH still has his dizzies, but seems to go quite a long time in between, 3 weeks since the last one, so expect one any day.

Last summer we took over a garden for veg growing, we have had 2 decent seasons out of it, but are now pulling out at the end of this season. We have bought a caravan, we last had one 7 years ago, and plan to toddle off as and when, at least twice a month, so no ties like huge veg gardens required!!

I struggle along with the fibromyalgia rearing its head now and then, have problems with my eyes and have also had to resort to a hearing aid, but still batting along. I keep saying if I was a horse they would shoot me!!

    Good Morning.
I love typing that as it's usually late in the day before I get a chance to read or post.

Still our 'holiday' and we are going out with friends for lunch. Yippee.

One of my drop-in boys is busy in the garden as I speak, stripping a flower bed of weeds and probably flowers as well, but ho hum, whatever. OS by proxy, sounds good to me.

nlj: are you trying to lose weight in a hurry or get moving again after a plateau? If not you might be trying to do things too fast. Slow and steady is longer lasting.

    Friends here, must go.

I heard a thing on R4 about doing 2 consecutive days a week on 600 calories was good for your brain and a way to lose weight as a welcome byproduct. My brain could use all the help it can get!!!

600calories a day :eek::eek::eek:. Please try something else

I am with BB, that's not a diet thats starvation and will only muck up your metabolism.

BB if you can reach an agreement suitable to repay the overpayment you should need to go to court should you? Xxx

Judi hugs for you and hugs for your son xxx

Hester hope your DD stays safe xxx
