Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 7th August. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in,put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, soplease don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you goto bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all,
Looks a bit overcast here this morning, I hope it brightens up later on, I have a towel load in the wm, which I want to hang out.
Thanks for all the good wishes re the dads, dd's one had got a burst ulcer in his stomach, so at least they know what they are dealing with, a massive change in lifestyle and diet for him I think.
The Dr came out to my dad yesterday, he has taken him off of a tablet that the hospital prescribed, I swear its that making him sick, so we will hopefully see an improvement soon.
More stripping of paint for me today, I will drop dd off at work, come back and do the veg and spuds for dinner, then get on, want to get as much done as possible today.
Dinner tonight is roast chicken, its a massive bird, so will do a good few meals.
Ok have good days all xx

Morning :hello:
LameWolf I only go into town 3 or 4 times a year, and two of those are for Christmas shoppingDaisy is much better, she’s not on antibiotics or painkillers now but we’re still cleaning her mouth out twice a day. The cut never gets a chance to dry out so doesn’t heal well. I think there’s still a bit of an infection, we’re keeping an eye on it and will take her back to the vet if it doesn’t show any more improvement.
I was quite pleased when I tried the bras on – I’ve gone down a back size but had to buy the same cup size. I’m a C, but could’ve done with a B and a half :rotfl: The B was definitely too small though.
We didn’t have time to drive out to the farm shop so nipped into Countrywide for chicken supplies. We bought a new large feeder but not any powders, sprays etc – it was all so expensive. I’ll order them online instead.
I’m hoping the rain holds off today, even if it’s only for a couple of hours. I need to dig and weed the garden, if the rain holds off long enough I want to sort out the old chicken shed which is full of junk at the moment.Bulletproof0 -

Think OH has calmed down a bit after last night and the irrate customer, hopefully he will have a good day.
It's looking dodgy for pegging out might hang on half an hour and see if it brightens up. I know the forecast is better for the end of the week.
Going to investigate Swagbucks today as well.
Tea tonight is chicken curry, rice and naan, yum.

RR health vibes for the dads.
Housework for me today as I have my friend coming to stay tonight. We are going to spend the evening at the relaxation centre and then have a late supper. Must remember my cozzie as it is a mixed evening toniight. Last time I went it was women only!
I have planned a mezze plate for supper with pitta bread and couscous . Bit of a late /early birthday celebration for us as we share the same birth date.
Well hugs and kind thoughts to all who need them.
Have a good day all.

Morning everyone.
Hope your Dad improves RR and hugs to all who are having a tough time.
My attempt at the 600 calorie diet crashed and burned at about 4pm when I was so hungry I was shaking and feeling sick. So I had the 600 calorie healthy plan PLUS cheese and biscuits and a packet of crisps!!! I don't think 600 calories on a day I go to the gym is going to work for me. Re-think.
Overcast here too. Today's plan is gym, food shopping, call into the office and then spending the afternoon with my son. Probably we'll go out for a walk (sprint).
I really should do some cleaning but with all son's furniture here as well as mine there's hardly room to move never mind get the hoover round. If all goes to plan he'll be moving into new place on the 20th, so not much longer.
