£1.99 rechargeable batteries available in Lidl stores

Aldi also sell rechargeable batteries and they always have them in. Their prices are comparable, £1.99 for four AA batteries. These are 2100 mAh. Aldi also have a range of other sizes.
I use the AA for my Xbox 360 wireless controller, and so far they seem to last as well as standard non-rechargeable batteries.
It is worth noting that various chargers have various output rates, e.g. 210 ma. This decides how long you need to charge a set of batteries. From experience most chargers don't always give guidelines on charge times for every type of battery strength (1300 mAh, 1800 mAh, 2100 mAh, 2300 mAh etc). This website has a pretty good calculator, and helps give a guideline as to the length of charging times, http://www.digibattery.com/.0 -
Well done on an amazingly informative discussion. Slightly worried why so many people know so much about rechargable batteries, but you've made one person a great deal wiser on the subject.
..but I wouldn't start this conversation in the pub on a Friday night...0 -
No-one seems to have mentioned it but:
mAH = milliamps per hour0 -
No, it means milliamp-hours - milliamps multiplied by hours, not divided by them.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Just got back from my local Lidl. No chargers I'm afraid.
The AAs are 2500 mAh and the AAAs are 900 mAh.0 -

Not sure why - these are even more no-name than Uniross!
Years of experience :rolleyes2 and duff purchases.

Anyway all made in China now so prob from same factory.
PS Uniross do not make batteries, just have their name printed on a batch from China too, as do Aldi and Lidl.
Aldi and Lidl being German are more likely to exert higher quality control.ac's lovechild0
