I could tell you a few stories about Overclockers :)

I`m sure you could. But if we all think like that nobody would be buying anything anywhere. I have years of nothing but good experience with em, !!!! experience in place where nobody else has had issues :)
  • I've had issues with overclockers in the past. I don't think any retailer is infallible. Their CS to fix the issues was also woeful. It was a few years ago now so perhaps they are better but I would not recommend them to anyone.

I know someone who works in an electronics shop who was told that they could refuse the sale if no add-ons were being considered. Apparently they sold most items at a loss anyway, so the products are loss leaders for the add-ons.

You are breaking my heart, shops like PC World don't sell at a loss.

Losses can be calculated in a number of different ways. I am sure they sell stock at a loss just to clear it. It can often be better to have less money as cash than more "value" tied up as stock that is not selling.

A blanket statement saying they do not sell at a loss means you do not appreciate what loss means or the reality of business.

You seem to have a problem where you take everything that people say so literally. Of course they will occasionally sell a few things at a loss, but on the whole they make a profit on most products.

Big stores also tell there staff that they are not making profits on goods when in actual fact they are.
