Yeah I hardly see any Fiestas on the road, they're a real flop....millions agree with you.

Yes, because popularity is always a reliable measure of quality.

If you want cheap without buying a lemon you will be hard pushed to find anything cheaper than a mondeo.

Well equipped plenty of choice, But sold in huge numbers to fleets which keeps the 2nd hand prices low.

£2000 ish for one around 5 years old. With plenty of life left.

I usually keep it for 4 or 5 years then sell for approx half its value then repeat, Im on my 3rd now.

If your looking for cheap running costs them why waste £5000 - £8000 buying it?

    Toyota Auris worth considering.
Good luck with your hunting and let us know when you made the decision.
    cheers
  • Thanks for all the suggestions, we like the warranty on the Kia and test drove a Rio yesterday. Just need to find a cheapish one with low mileage in the area now. Compared to what we used to drive, the Rio is the height of luxury!

I'll let you know what we buy eventually!

i was talking more about the amount of kit and technology on it. I would say it is more i30 and Cee'd than Rio/i20. For anyone looking at those cars i'd recommend the Jazz, amazing little car...
