She never said it comes in a large size, being there was just me I thought she could have mentioned maybe.
Doesn't the menu describe that half and half only comes in 1 size and the prices ?0 -

I was on my own, and ordered a half and half pizza.
When it came it was huge...
and the bill was even bigger.
£17 for a drink & a pizza!
What I realised is because I hadnt specified a size they had automatically given me a large. Not even an option, no common sense what so ever.
Do I have any rights here, or just the right to complain?
Usually when i go to a restaurant whether its PE, PH I look at the menu and order a size of pizza and the price is listed so I know how much im paying and what to expect.
Why didnt you specify a size when the waitress came ?
The waitress isnt a mind reader so they wasn't to know you were going to be joined later on by a friend.
Cant see you having any rights as you ate the food (i presume), complain about what ? you ate the food so surely you accepted the food as acceptable, you do have the right to have a vent on here though.
An expensive lesson learnt, can you not claim some of the £17 from the emloyer or do they have a limit for food ?0 -
Its not pizza huts fault if there customer dont specify what pizza they want i.e
What base, stuff crust, any specialy base sauce i.e bbq, what toppings and what size.
And your unlimited refill drink is about £2.75 or £3.75 or something like that.
You should have complaiend when you got the bill instead of coming here just to get abused!!!0 -

The menu online says unlimited drink top ups are £2.250 -
Yes it does. Even checking the online copy of the menu available, it clearly states that half and half is large only.Doesn't the menu describe that half and half only comes in 1 size and the prices ?
So. Choose the crust, then decide you want half half, decide toppings = total price of pizza. Pan 13", everything else 14" therefore Large, two toppings = £13.95 + fizzy? drink £2.25 = £16.20; rest maybe on a tip/extra topping/different drink.
Fraid there's nothing really to complain about. The menu would have clearly shown the prices exactly of the pizza, as well as the size.

Thanks, i saw the split it option but couldn't see a price but i now see what you mean.
It also isnt a rip off, it is a bit pricey for a meal for 1 person.
You just assumed, assumption is the mother of all f**k ups.0 -
At least you should have got a doggy bag for having a pizza breakfast too0

How right you are.
Ordering something without knowing how much it was going to cost you then complaining when you were charged the correct price is definitely a case of no common sense.0 -
Ooh I fancy a pizza right now. i normally have a large and eat it throughout the following day. I know calorifically it's horrendous (about 250 per slice of a large :O) but it's so nice, and I do walk a lot.
Pizzas are on the face of it expensive, but when you consider how filling they are and how they just keep on giving it aint to bad0
