had a lie in this morning - not planned just didn't get up
received text from DS asking for top up 'pwetty pweez'...which I was supposed to do yesti....so I weighed up merits of 'get up now and go to village PO before it closes' versus 'stay in bed and go into town s'afti'. Get up won - so I'm washed, dressed, been to PO and topped up DS, bought a sandwich for lunch, called at my brother's to drop off b'day card and choc - said brother not in/up so posted said card/choc through letter box  should be ok no dogs
Whilst in village the elastic broke in my skirt :o:eek: managed to keep it up with my hips and surreptitious arm movements. Have now changed into more reliable skirt. Think other elastic has perished rather than snapped - tis rather an olde skirte
ooooh lots of people going on hols. hope you all have a superdeduper time xx
hugs to Mr and Mrs LW xx

Afternoon all!
DD is out for the day (until something like 10pm) with ex at his parents up in the lake district :j We've been up since 7am-ish so some jobs are already done, and I've been out to paid work and was home again by 11amSince she's away for a long weekend next weekend I figure if I can get the house clean today then I can have next weekend off
So after I've sorted out my work stuff (which will probably take me an hour or so as I'm planning a flinging session) I'll get on with the other housework
This week DD decided to deep clean the TD, scrub the kitchen sink, helped me sort through all the household paperwork, shredded paperwork for me (2 binbags full over 2 days as the shredder kept getting too hot ), washed up I don't know how many times, and looked after me on Tuesday when I wasn't well. She's also been out to work and the shops with me.I think she's after something :rotfl:

Right, I'm off to empty out my work cupboard to see what I have to return and what I can binCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Roundtuit, you made me laugh with your olde skirte. Faceache has told me I'm getting timelined soon so went in to take a preview and I'm still wearing the same tops as four years ago, and I had them a long time before that.
Since my last post, I've cut the grass and walked the dogs. Think one walk will be enough for them today, they are worn out and will have more than enough excitement when they're bathed later.
Time for lunch.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Hi all
Before I forget - Happy Holidays for all of you going away this weekend - gosh, lots of you, too!
Better night last night.:o Mr LW is still very tired, but he's eaten some more toast and jam today (he'll look like greengage jam before long!!):D and he's actually fired up his 'puter to check his emails for the first time since he was taken ill. I take this as a good sign.
We've managed to change the bedlinen between us, and I've washed what we stripped off the bed and it's outside drying in the sun now.
I'm so grateful for my mega-stores, I can tell you! Mr LW often laughs at me for keeping so well stocked up with stuff, but it's stood us in good stead - not so much food, as my stash of loo rolls!!:rotfl: But at least I'm not in dire need of any shopping, which is a good thing.:o
Off to see if he fancies a spot of lunch now - and I suppose I ought to have something myself. Shh.... I haven't eaten yet today....
I'll try and check in again tomorrow, if I get chance.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
