Ah, that explains the ParcelForce "You were out" card I found when I came back from shopping earlier. They've taken the parcel to a nearby Post Office so I'll get it tomorrow.

I had a card saying I had missed a delivery. I think this is what it must have been because it apparently needs a signature.

I emailed them to ask if I would be able to join but am not sure if I've got the right address : argenteuil.panelconsumer@givaudan.com. They emailed me back and said yes you can join, just fill in these details online and we'll send you something through the post.

The only thing that made me pause is the fact that, despite me stating my name in the email, their reply begins with 'Dear Lady'. Is this usual?
