So that was your post then?

    Sounded reasonable enough to me.

    Done now anyway!
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

Or in some cases, respect. Just think that because I haven't shortened yours yet... :p

:eek::eek: I think I have just worked out your real name! Maybe not? Well, if I have you must have been laughing. :D

Well, I'm not going to say, because I might well be wrong and if I'm not you would rather I didn't anyway. :D

Very enigmatic. :p I would like to say, do tell, but maybe i shouldn't?

Too true. There are many people who will be in for a shock if they have the misfortune to be faced with the " welfare state". Could potentially be even more, as in my opnion, services which are already stretched to the limit helping " us lot ", will have themselves have their staff off work with stress. I already see it with my " little helpers". It must be so stressful, in itself, having to support the likes of people like us. The case loads and resources of services already stretched to the limit, can only snap?

Many are hidden from the authorities and state and doing it for themselves(and doing quite well)struggling or using family and friends unofficially. If those who help others out of love were to ask for help money or care, this country would grind to a halt.

Many are fine but within seconds your life can change. Others know my situation(i'll give brief synopsis if asked)but an illness, a death, change in income, repssesion of a house, mugging, car accident, a stay in hospital, loss of a job, a fire, robbery even something good(birth of child)can change things.

    Even the strong can crumble...

  • Pops you are certainly correct in what you say, so very many people have no idea just how close they are at every given moment to their life coming crashing down. I don't wish that on anyone, I just wish some didnt think hard times and social exclusion are the fault of the person experiencing them.

Any ways apparently England has had a pardigm shift since them limpics started. They are a nation of winners and sportsmen now, regaling in success.... Can't say Scotland seems at all different for all that money spent and all the fuss and distraction.

Me I can't watch it cos of all the atos neck bands on the presenters....

Second loaf didn't get baked, first one eaten. Baby sitting went fine, kids lovely, why are the parents always a nightmare? Anyways enough of my needy friend. The boundary is drawn, and that is good for me. I am not historically good at boundaries.

I am pleased to know that I am absolutely knackered, which is good, it's been a struggle to stay awake most of the day which is an indicator that my sleep patterns may be resolving to human again, thereby reducing the risk of this episode turning into florid mania.....

    Two no spend days..... :):):)

    Gonna hit the hay soon

The UK isn't any different due the Olympics just that the public at large are taken in by the media hype and Government spin, bad news being buried amongst the Olympic saturation coverage, if I hear one more time how the nation has changed because of the Olympics:mad:

Not around here either and how someone winning a medal helps me I have no idea. It is hypocritical ATOS sponsoring the event(they are especially involved in the Paralympics)and that has annoyed many.
