Any Minuses For Plusnet?

Hi gang

Looking at signing up to Plusnet broadband. Anyone have anything to say for not doing so? Have been with Talktalk which haven't been the best!

Regards

Freddie

Haven't been with them long enough to see anything really negative. We've suffered a number porting issue, but plusnet have been great - keeping us up to date with texts, emails and calls. Better than sky did, and anything with some cs had to be better than talk talk!

Moved from Talk Talk to plusnet in May - smooth transition and service fine so far. Only thing I would say though - it's amazing how quickly the 4 of us in the family eat up the 60Gb allowance - but you can set a spend limit to stop huge bills, but the speed slows to a crawl once you'e exceeded the limit (unless you pay for more)
  • Thanks. Will be just for myself to use so hopefully won't be an issue
  • free downloading with Plusnet after midnight so you can download all your telly etc then and it doesn't count towards your allowance.

I'm with Plusnet too, been with them now for a couple of months, transferred home phone and broadband. No problems in transfer (from two different providers), no problems with internet connection and although I did have one issue re billing, I posted this on their online forum and resolved quickly.

I have been with them over a year and have just renewed with them and got a better deal.

Speeds are between 3 and 4Mbps for me on Extra.

User forum and customer services are ok.

You can go thru TopCashBack for a bit extra off.

Im happy with the service they provide but generally I am just browsing.

I switched last month, both without any problems (apart from having to phone BT up to get them to remove BT Basic). Hopefully I will get my £50 cash back this month, plus the £36 though Quidco.

The only minus for me is the supplied router, the wi-fi isn't as strong as my old netgear.

I've had their broadband for over a year. At £6.50 per month it is great value. I get my line rental from BT (£10 per month if you pay a year in advance), but am thinking of transferring my phone to Plusnet next time time it comes up for renewal as they are cheaper.

So why not use the Netgear instead? You don't have to use the Plusnet- supplied Thomson box.
