so don't knock those asking for such items as it stops people with spare cash from binning them!

This thread is acknowledging that this is EXACTLY what freecycle is for!! It's those people who suddenly need a multitude of electrical items all the correct colour and in perfect order, all at the same time and frequently ask for "expensive" stuff that the thread is "knocking". FC was set up so people could offer their unwanted stuff not so greedy people could post shopping lists!!

    There's a VAST difference

abd LMAO @ now needing 25 meters!!

The people in the Wirral don't want a lot .....

    1. hi i know its a long shot but has any of u nice kind and generous
freecyclers got an old chest freezer u no longer have any use for as i
have just got in from a mates to find mine has died a terrible death
( i can collect when ever is suitable..)

....when I first read this I thought it said his mate had died a terrible death and I thought what has the freezer got to do with his mate.....lol .... I read too fast

    2. I am after a pull down Loft Ladder and also a Van, I would prefer a
goer with an MOT, but i will consider anything. So if you have one
blocking your driveway, let me know. From small, to transit size, to
    Luton bodied. For my use,

..... well I'm moving in a couple of months I could give him my loft ladder, but I don't have a van blocking my driveway though...aah gotta feel sorry for the poor fella.

I don't usually read the "wanted" emails indepth when they come into my inbox, I just read the titles. If I can help I will. But since I have been reading this thread I get a kick out of reading what coming into my mailbox. Thanks for the laughs guys!!

Although I haven't read every single post in this thread I wanted to post my frustrations at a response to my offer of a large mat suitable for a conservatory. Having ignored the rude and "I want it" type of posts and offered it to a lady who hadn't specified when she could collect. It turned out she felt she couldn't put it in the car with her children because "it might be dirty". She said that her husband would collect but he didn't turn up at the specified time. I received an email suggesting he could collect on the way to work at 7am! I pointed out that I haven other commitments in the morning, such as dog walking, sandwich making and didn't really want another no-show at such an inconvenient time. I don't have facilities to leave it outside as my front door is right on the footpath.

The email back suggested that it really wouldn't hurt me to be a bit more considerate and what possible valid reason could there be for me to not want visitors at that time of the morning!

    Some people!

Bloomin' Cheek - but I forgot, they're doing YOU the favour.....

It's supposed to be mutually convenient but it's surprising how many people think you should accommodate them. I'd be tempted to email back and ask if he could collect it at 3 in the morning, driving a red van and wearing a clown outfit - or do you think that's not reasonable:rotfl:
