Wonder if she will get any replies?!?!
Lending is not allowed on Freecycle! Im surprised it ot through. I just presume she was no longer on moderation and the mod didnt notice the post on the site when it showed up. I am list owner mod of a Freecycle group and I have had all sorts of strange requests including one like this but luckily they have been from new-moderated members.
As far as people who take the weewee, they do tend to become "known" on the group and most members simply would not offer them anything even if they had it. My group specifies that if you are after something for a boot sale/ebay, that you must declare this on your wanted ad. I had a member do exactly that this week-most members are honest people and find it a teriffic site. I know this from polls and feedback as I make sure that as a mod that I am very approachable. I suspect that the "problems" are on the larger groups in cities which havent been divided into smaller regions. This is all down to whether new mods come forward to start smaller local groups really. Some mods work hard at it and some don't I suppose as with all things but most work extremely hard and are very commited as, it is, after all, a volunteer position. Mods also have to follow the rules of Freecycle.org. They do not make up the rules as they go along as some people suspect. There is room for change in some areas especially the Wanted posts. These are often met with great appreciation though when you look closely at the posts. Some people request the strangest things-and get them. We all have something or other that we believe nobody wants but then up comes a request for just that item and suddenly its taken off of their hands. Regarding furnishing a whole house-who knows what that persons circumstances are? You are either prepared to give the item-or not-its your choice. Unless of course you'd prefer it went to landfill.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

armoured cable should really be 4.0mm and would also need seperate Earth stake. Needs to be installed by qualified electrician as well.0

Hi does anyone have a ladies moutain bike which is no longer needed,
can collect.Hi
I need 6 folding chairs.
The type they sell at ikea or habitat is ideal- either plastic or wooden and it doesn't matter if they are not pristine as they are for an art studio.
But they do need to be not rickety to avoid litigious people with bruised bottoms suing me!
I would also be willing to have them on loan - until 19th June How kind!
I have made a photo album showing the sort I mean... not fussy then
i can collect from pretty much anywhere as i'm in the city centre
Again, no please, no thank you. Some people really !!!! me off! :eek:Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!
