Ive started delivering the stuff I give away (only if its convenient for me) as I started to get nervous about some of the folks turning up who were having a good look around my back garden - eyes everywhere!!!

I agree with bones61, you must do whats best for you, some people i am very wary about, and i never allow anyone past my front door, no matter how hard they try. got to admit i always arrange collections for when someone will be in with me.

Can't find the original posting which this was a reply to, but it goes to show you there are genuine folks out there who are not out to make a killing at other folks expense. This reply made me smile for all the right reasons. I lied here it is:-

Offered star wars millenium falcon & mon calamari cruiser Dundee.

These are in poor condition, have been well played with and are
original from late 70s early 80s. Radar dish missing off the falcon
and the firing sounds dont work anymore but the cruiser is complete we
think. They are very dirty as were stored in a dusty loft for almost
20 years so I wouldnt think they would be suitable for a child until
well cleaned. I'll give them a wee rub down but the rest is up to the
taker. To be collected from Dundee.

Wanted - outdoor furniture, any condition.

Hello,We have small courtyard but no furniture for it. If anyone has a chair/table/sunlounger/bench suitable for outdoor use we'd be very
happy to collect and it would go to a good home! Any condition is fine,
just need something to sit on and something to put things on!
Needs to be small enough to fit in the back of a Honda Civic (with the
seats down). Maybe something that folds up or can be disassembled?
Can pick up within 20 minutes or so of Dundee in any direction.

A visit to the local garden centre, supermarket might be easier as you can actually see and chose something from there which might fit in your car, in perfect condition and you will probably even like it to start with instead of making do!

Even Argos is an option as they deliver and it would save you struggling to get it to fit in your boot. Then again if you are offered something nice but it's too big, what about tying it to a skateboard or two, then to your bumper to get it home? Or borrow a roof rack from a fellow freecycler. There sorted!

I'll just go and check in the shed. Ok looked sorry, but I have a gent's bike which needs new brakes if that's any help until you can get your engine and seat. Bike comes with a seat and you can always use your trainer fronts to stop until you get the brakes fixed like most children do very successfully much to the distress of their parents and their parents bank accounts!
