This posted in one of my groups kind of sums up the attitude of some quite nicely:
"To the person who requested one of my offered items earlier, you say in
you email you never get offered anything, but by saying (and i
quote!!) " Give me this item, i want it, i need it more than others and
i never get offered anything so give this to me" this really isn't the
best way to request an item so have you ever wondered why people dont
offer their things to you? manners are free............."
The backlash against the no manners scroungers is in full motion - power to the people (as Wolfie Smith used to say - hands up who remembers the sitcom I refer to here ?)
Right bed is calling - nice to have bunged a few posts on here for 1st time in a while - missed you all and all the banter
LatersHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -

Oh here we go - shopping list time. So much for the 3 wanted items a month 'rule' (what a joke) in one of my groups
Wanted - garden stuff
I took on an allotment and need to expand a meager selection of tools
for the garden. Will gladly take spades, forks, wheelbarrow, shed,
greenhouse, timber, camp stove (for the tea!), etc. In most cases, can
collect.
Cheeky beggar.
