"Wanted - A scythe" I thought the grim reaper had messed up until in the message text it mentioned the lady wanted it for her husband to do the gardening!

    "WANTED: To borrow a Canoe
Hi everyone, Does anyone have a spare canoe that they could temporary lend me for some training that I am trying to do for an upcoming sporting event... "

Just saw the start of this, I'm sure I saw someone else asking for canoes on this thread - what are we missing?

It's not stopped raining round here for 2 days - at this rate I might need a canoe to get down the main road to the shops!
But maybe canoeing is the latest fad? Also I'm seeing lots of 'wants' for camping equipment (and in fairness, quite a lot of camping stuff up for grabs)

Everyone's either training for whatever canoe event this lady is doing, or they're all just getting very outsdoorsy! I could've done with a canoe myself today, I have learnt now, never listen to your OH when he says the weather will be fine - I drowned!

Posted lots of stuff on freecycle today, and sadly it appears the rude ones are coming out of the woodwork. Had 4 people say "Yeah I'll have it", all people who've never offered anything, one person ask me to post it to them because they are a nurse and it'll probably come in handy (I had no idea that the NHS had become so poor that it needed freecycle to get basic equiptment), one who sent a 4 word e-mail 3 times in the space of 5 minutes and two saying "where are you I'm coming to get it". This was all for one item - a blood glucose monitor. Final person who e-mailed me so far has sent this:

"Hi, Diabetes runs in my family so it would be great if
I could monitor my blood sugar level. I would greatly
appreciate this if it is still available. Thank you
    in advance."

I think we have a winner there, I shall e-mail her in a minute to let her know. Sad that so many have so little manners, but at least someone who sounds like they actually need it will be getting it! :D

    Wanted - dog loo
I have to lovely dogs and would really appreciate a dog loo if anyone
out there has one they no longer want.

I didn't know there were dog loos - maybe it's a lamp post on offer? :o

Doesn't look that pampering to me, if I were the doggy I think I'd rather stick with going outside rather than on a plastic gratey square thing. God I don't even know how to describe that!

Suppose it's useful if you have to leave your dog for several hours to do something, that way there are no accidents, but how on earth you train them to use that is beyond me!

Well - having taken another look at it, I'd tend to agree. My dog would probably chew it up anyway (the chewable bits - he doesn't do metal) :D
