Wanted: Lady with left leg/foot (Area Not Confirmed) Message List

    Reply | Forward Message #12073 of 12101 < Prev | Next >

As silly as this may sound it is a serious request, I am looking for women with
    only one foot.

My wife has a medical condition which prevents her from wearing a shoe on her
left foot. Every time we shop for shoes she has to throw away the left one. I
hate throwing things away but when something is brand new, never used, still in
the box (well half of it, lol) it really goes against the grain.

If there is anyone out there who is in a similar situation and would like to
pass on or receive the odd shoe please get in contact or keep my email address
    for the future.

    Thanks for reading,

    Harry.

Hi...have Posted This On Local But No Response Boohooo
My Washer Died On Me And I Freecycled It For Spares.
I Thought I'd Try Washing The Clothes In The Bath, By Hand, But Due To
Health Reasons I'm Unable To Undertake This.
My Washing Is Piling Up And I'm Finding It Hard To Cope.
Please, If Anyone Has A Washing Machine Which Still Works, Which They
No Longer Need, Can They Get In Touch With Me As I'd Really Appreciate
    It..
    Many Thanks

The moderators on freecyle have first choice of all offers. anything they dont want they post for the members to see.

That's my experience too! Every single post is moderated.

It's amazing how many "item X has gone" posts there are without a corresponding post offering the item in the first place!

I think you are being very cynical where Freecycle is concerned, It is all about saving the planet, some people do apply for items to sell on this is true, but not everyone, most on freecycle are good honest people, it helps alot of single parents and families on low income furnish their homes, Freecycle is a wonderful idea.

It *should* be about saving the planet but evidence suggests that some moderators (Not your good self!) are abusing the system and breaking the rules laid down by Freecycle.
  • Re looking for the lady with a left foot didn't know you could advertise for people - wonder if I could advertise for a 6ft+ solvent single male with a knowledge of gardening, joinery and decorating?

one of my local groups has broken away from Freecycle because of what is going on behind the scenes. the moderator has explained his reasons and hopes that people will stay with the new group but has said if people wish to leave then that is fine as he doesn't expect everyone to take his side. he thinks that there are other groups doing the same.
