Firstly I can't see any venom in my reply. If you do then you must live in a world of cotton wool. I stated the facts.

Secondly my post is all but the admin message sent out about once a month on all the local boards in my area.

Thirdly , if the rules state the 4 posts allowed are , Offer, Taken, Wanted & Recieved, POSTING a Thanks , when not part of the Taken or Received message posted as per the rules, is OBVIOUSLY WRONG !

Forthly, for the "world to see". Every one of these "Thanks" messages will arrive as an email to every member of the group that has their account setup for "Individual Emails". You were only complaining the other day that you must remember to set it to Daily Digest if you went away for a few days due to the number of emals you'd got. If everyone posted a "Thanks for giving it to me" when picking up an offered, or "Thanks for taking it" when a wanted has been provided, then the number of emails arriving in your inbox will increase by 50%. Furthermore Daily Digest accounts will suffer the same since each digest will have about a third of entries that are neither offered or wanted related.

If you wrote a letter of thanks to you next door neighbour for a kind gesture, surely you'd post it through their letterbox (or even hand it to them), not make 500 copies and pin them to all the lamp posts, telegraph poles and other structures for the entire length of your street.

Have a PC Hard Drive - Its a Mitsubishi Apricot L Series with intel inside and If I remember windows 95 - it has a 3 1/4 and floppy disc drive. The case is unscrewed and may need replacing.

probably a couple of screws needing replacing
