ok, one to ponder and which i'd like some advice. someone has just posted a recieved with numerous items listed(5 to be exact) that they have had over last couple of days. they have never posted an offered or a wanted. and they are onlyon who as asked for something i've offered. do i hang on and see if someone else asks, give it them, or just leave it a while and re-post?
    what do you all think?
I would wait for a while and see if any one else contacts you, but if they have posted a received at least that is some acknowledgement to the people who have offered stuff. There is always a chance that they are unfortunate and have nothing to offer at present.
What sort of items have they received and how polite was their email to you?
Use that as a guide before you decide. If they come across as genuine then I would give them the benefit of the doubt and not prejudge them.
I would guess that you have not condemned them by the way you posted your question here. At the end of the day it is your choice but at worst they turn out to be p*** takers. On the other hand you may be helping someone who has very little and needs the good will donations of others to improve their lives.
Please let us know how you get on.

I'd go with Bones on this...wait a couple of days and see what happens. I'm not sure there is an arguement for not having ANYTHING to offer though. Glass jars always go well around our way and everyone uses them, or newspaper (clutching at straws maybe? :rotfl: :rotfl: )

    Hello all,

Sorry again for the wanted post.

My wife is being made redundant from her full time job and she has
to give her laptop back to the company.

I'm in the process of starting a little business and was relying on
her laptop for email and day to day work inc ebay, this option is
    now no longer available.

I'm looking for (being cheeky) a pc what will be able to run quite
quick with xp pro or maybe upgradeable to a higher specification.

I will be able to pick up almost anywhere at weekends.

    Thank you in advance.
Yes I'd say you're being cheeky - still he said thanks at least.
hi, This is going to sound really cheeky...but we have just been
offered our very first house!we cant move in for another week or so
though. but we have nothing but a bed, plates , knives and forks!! so
anything you could offer us would be brilliant! I promise to freecycle
back anything that is unsuitable or something that we have used for a
couple of months until we could afford a new one.)if that makes sense!)

we have nothing to sit on, nothing to put food in, nothing to wash or
dry clothes in,nothing to put clothes in, nothing to iron clothes
    with!! you get the picture....

and what we would really love if possible is baby gates.
I check my e-mail several times a day, and pictures of the items would
save lots of time. Thanks for reading...like i said i'll freecycle
anything back thats not to our use. I can collect (just aslong as its
not TOO far!) or if you wish to deliver im currently at xxxxxxxx
    no comment needed

Yep, i'll spend my weekend loading up my car and then fill my petrol tank up to bring it round to you, whilst there I will even sweep your yard.
