I had the misfortune of temping at a BT call centre..:o It was gold support, ie if you rang and ended up speaking to someone in Bangalore and couldn't understand them, you got but through to us.. 2 Weeks training :rotfl: there was 12 of us, not being racist or anything here but note the fact that it was gold support.. There was 1 English chap (me) 1 Australian, 4 Chinese people and 6 people that had come over from.....Bangalore :rotfl:They were great people but I was sat next to them and struggled to understand them..
Anyway, after the so called training we went live on the job.. first day, a supervisor told me that if I didn't know how to answer a customers question, to hang up... !! The same went if the call lasted longer than 10 minutes.. The next day I took a call from a elderly chap that had been waiting 4 months to get a connection, his fault had been past from pillar to post and nothing had been done. I spent about 30 mins talking to him and it turned out he'd not plugged everything in correctly his end. After that i walked out, i was only planning on being there a couple of months but never ever again.. After seeing how they operate I would never suggest going with BT..
The thing is, BT still own the infrastructure. I'm with TalkTalk and pay my line rental to TT but the line is still a BT line. The one and only time I had to call them about a fault I got the guy I signed up to TT through (Carphone Warehouse Manager) to do it for me (HC doesn't do phone calls very well) and he said that although he had dialled TT customer service to report the fault, it would be a BT engineer in a plain white van that would be out to do the repair.0 -

Hello guys I have a wombling question.
I picked up a receipt yesterday, 100 pound + and want to Price Check it.
However it has a clubcard number, and I dont.. Can I still use the receipt? I tried using the Clubcard number on the receipt but it rejected
The CC number on the receipt is missing the last digit, so you need to keep trying with 0-9 until you get the 'thanks for entering your details' page. HTH's...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I hit the whoopsie jackpot! :j:j:j:j
Had 10 minutes to spare before dropping DD off with OH so nipped into the Coop to get something to eat, spotted bags of carrots reduced to 10p, result thinks meWandered a bit further up and there was 2 SAs reducing meat and stuff, so off I go for a wee nosey and all the stuff they were reducing was...............10p :j:D:j:D:j
Got square sausages, link sausages, chicken breasts, yorkshire puds and a few other bits but the best ones were 2 whole chickens worth £6-7 each, and a whole duck worth £10 odd. Could not believe my luck, couldn't have timed it any better, was amazing :rotfl::rotfl:
I've been dreaming of this day for a long time:cool:
Apologies for the excessive use of smilies but I think in this case they are allowed :rotfl:
WOOOHOOO!!
Well done :T:T
I was chuffed tonight when the guy in Morries told me I could fill a bag of bread rolls etc. with as many as I could squeeze in and he'd reduce it for me.
So I managed about 20 croissants for 5p!!...That'll teach him :rotfl:
Also got some little tubs of very posh pork pate type stuff from £2 down to 6p
Pales into insignificance compared to your fab haulMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
