hi QPR
nice to find another genealogy researcher on threads
i'm throughly addicted
have you been doing your for long? how far back have you managed to get.I understand that you want to do it yourself feel free to contact me if you are stuck though, I am unshockable when it comes to Family Trees, mine is quite boring but doing other peoples has been an eye opener over the years.
The program i had in mind doesnt work on Mac but they have one on there for Macs re Ancestry it is available for free in many libraries etc its only worth the subscription if you want to stay up into the small hours looking things up & was mentioned earlier ALWAYS check out for yourself any trees you find already done, my dads grandad died in London because my Mum & Dad found him & someone had him in a tree as dying in America !
Need to clear my pm box & I will send you the link & also to the person that pmd me, with one landline still not working & this one just hanging by a thread I'm a bit limited as to what I can do Internet wise at the moment. i feel like I'm using two tins cans & a piece of string0 -
Evening all from a dreary South Devon
Lovely to see you back Happy. Look forward to seeing your jokes or rants ON FACEBOOK !!
Congrats to all those with children who've had offers from the Uni's of choice, and hugs for any who have been disappointed.
It's such a stressful time for all concerned.
My daughter didn't get the Uni she was hoping for so then decided to opt for the nearest one so she could remain living at home (for free!!)
She's been happy there and is doing really well, so tell them it's not the end of the world, even if it seems so at the time.
Off to A's in a sec. Is there anything happening there besides the wine?My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

i slept ok, i got up at 5am to take some pain killers, put the washing machine on. went back to bed. we got up at 8am, only to find that, although i had put the washing machine on, i hadnt shut the drawer, so it didnt "take" to powder or fab con, so that was put on again.
we had to get the bus to langney as the shoes i had brought son on tuesday were starting to rip. they changed them no problems, but my foot was starting to ache on the way home. so i sent son of to the drs to give them my discharge letter.
he has been brilliant though and is making a real fuss of being in charge and looking after me. makes a change from being a horrid hormonal teeanger.:p
he even cleaned the sink/bath and loo :T and gave me his arm to walk down the road.Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
MyMerryWidow, it's good that you were feeling up to shopping today but watch you don't do too much, too soon hun. Your son does sound like a very considerate young man and is a credit to you :T :T
