  • Evening all, I've got no chance of catching up, spent all afternoon packing for our holiday, took oh to the hospital just to get his foot dressed and it's alot worse since yesterday, gangrene is spreading and infection has spread right across the underneath of his foot so they've took him into hospital.
I just don't know what to do, was going to phone up and cancel holiday but he's made me promise not to cancel and still take our daughter. It's only 40 minutes drive so if I go after visiting tomorrow I can come back to visit tuesday & thursday, his brother is going in sunday & wednesday, my sister monday & friday and we'd be back next saturday.
Am I being selfish even considering it?

we went to Devon a few years ago for a holiday. Had a fantastic time, lovely area and the people are the nicest and friendliest bunch you could meet!

We visited Woodland Leisure Park , spent the whole day there and had a great time and the Model Village and Kents Cavern prehistoric caves both at Torquay again a great day out for all the family!

:T:T:T:T I think we are a nice lot.....changing the subject slightly, did anyone watch the series called the Hotel - fly on the wall set in The grosvenor Hotel in Torquay?
Well if you did, you will remember Christian ;) (very camp and fake tanned)
He was in A's last night wearing the pointiest shoes I've ever seen!:rotfl:
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Sorry to hear this news, must be distressing for you..

The two points are: Am I being selfish even considering it?

and you've been given the answer:he's made me promise not to cancel and still take our daughter

So you should still go, you're not being selfish, gives you and your daughter the holiday you need. Your OH will be visited most days by nearest and dearest :)

Oh, I am so sorry Bootsalebargains :( I think you are going to have to play it by ear. If OH wants you to go and you are able to come back on Tuesday - see what he is like then. It would make him feel worse if he thinks you, and more importantly your DD, have missed out on this planned holiday. Thinking of you hun :A

No way are you being selfish! You should do as your OH say's. He's in the best place and 40 minutes is no distance if you needed to get back.
Your daughter will be so disappointed... and if your OH is in hospital, there's not much you can do anyway. You go and try to enjoy yourself :A

    Xmas Saver!
Just back from a S lager run (only 1 shandy) and a T's.

Tesco had kids 2012 t shirts down to £2. These where plastic packed ones on the shelf, rather than hung up on hangers. In pink and blue and up to 9-10. They also had adults ones for £4.

Then my mind is in the gutter too ;):rotfl:

Waxing all the way for me ... even when I'm four weeks down the line, there isn't much hair anyway :rotfl:. It gets finer and finer the more you wax. I couldn't do shaving now.

How many are on the Silk Epil trial??? I used to wax but would never go back to waxing. The Silk Epil is FANTASTIC!!! I even do underarms now which I wouldn't have waxed as it was too painful. No pain, no waiting for regrowth, it really does get the hair as short as a grain of sand. Just remember to exfoliate :)
Only thing it is still painful for is top lip so I wax that:o
If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:
