  • Can any of you wonderful Elite tell me the cheapest way to send a parcel to America? Daughter doing a years placement with Walt Disney and it is her birthday end of the month - would so like her to have a parcel to open but worried the postage will cost more than the parcel - any ideas???

On phone so not good at links. A's is £4, T's is £2.20 so if it compares right, £1.80 back. That's where i got 20p from

I could be well off the mark and I am sure that someone will be along to correct me :)

    qoc, I think you'd get back £1.80 + 10% = £1.98. Take that off the £4 you spent and it's £2.02 a bottle. Sorry hun! :o:)
    Hope is not a strategy.

I make up a batch of Welsh cakes and they fly out, as there are a lot of Welsh folks in Brum and its rare to find proper Welsh cakes made on a bakestone. I will have to ask o/h if we got anything planned :D

Sorry to hear that, and please don't take this the wrong way. It might be a bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, but it might be worth investing in some steel toe capped shoes when you are doing anything with sharp tools in the future, especially if you can't feel when you damage your toes.

I think mine have saved my toes on more than one occasion, but that has been on building sites etc.

This is not meant as a joke, and you can get some that look like trainers now so they don't have to look awful!

Take photos of cake and wrapping and write to S HQ and send them off.

Afterwards I would then ring your store, ask when store manager is about and then go and show him the cake as well

I would definetly write to HQ . Have you taken a photograph of the bar to send as well ?.
I would have been mortified and am just glad it wasn't eaten.
