Loving all the cakes and wonder if someone could give me inspiration. i am helping in a fundraising tea to raise money for the church bells. I had thought of getting a bell shaped cutter and making a sort of gingerbread biscuit and icing the bells names and numbers on.

i have also bought a baking tray with 12 bell shapes ( like a 12 muffin tray) there is detail on the base and they are quite deep. I have tried a fairy cake mix but they rose and just looked odd. A fruit cake mix was more successful as they stayed flat and when turned out you could see a bit of detail but they looked boring

any ideas welcome...we are also doing sarnies etc so any bell shaped ideas would be great

you are such a talented bunch...i know you can help:T
What about stained glass window biscuits?

I'm thinking Madeira cake in the muffin tin and homemade cake gloop.
Also melting caramacs and painting them inside the muffin tin would look awesome!

What about stained glass window biscuits?

One of DS's friends was on a budget at Xmas and made us some gorgeous biscuits that looked like stained glass with sugar, they were brilliant and tasted pretty good too, she did them in the shapes of bells for Xmas :)

Some ideas for fundraising from our poster, I've deleted location/name details.
Unfortunately I was one of the ones who got gunged (gunge was 50p a cup, this went well too!)

When my DD and her friend organise the school bbq, the entrance ticket (£1.50) includes either a burger, hot dog or veggie options. People buy the 'ticket' of their choice and that way they know in advance how many of what to buy etc. They always 'add' a few more of everything for the 'just incasers' and rarely have any leftovers. A's are very good for returning any unopened alcohol. They ask first if it can be on a 'sale or return' basis and the local manager always agrees as they buy like this for all school events - fayres, disco's, Christmas etc. Usually very little gets returned. The last one, they returned about £50 worth and had no hassle.

They have a bottle tombola which will range from mint sauce, tommy k, bottled veg, beer, wine, coke etc. and is always popular. They do their own version of 'guess what it is' - which can be anything from furry feathers to jelly - the kids love it. Everyone 'thinks' that they know what brand of baked beans they are tasting. Have a tasting stall with as many brands as you like. Always put in about 10 tasters - 6 can be value ones - just don't put them next to each other. ;) If the person can name x brands correctly - they get a prize - something like a loaf of bread and a tin of bb's goes down well and makes people smile! Ditto a cola stall - if they guess correctly say 3 different brands, they get a can.

Evening everyone. I'm back from a lovely day out at peppa pig world. My D/D had such a great time. She was so excited to meet Peppa, George, Suzie and Zoe. Her little face was a picture. :A I also was surprised how much she laughed her head off on the rides. The faster and higher the better. She's gonna be a real little thrill seeker. :) I see I have a lot to catch up on as you have all been so busy chatting. I best get started. :)
