A load of washing on the line, the sun has broken through now and it looks like being a lovely day.
Kitchen/diner here, so that's all done now and I've done the bathroom/toilet too. No downstairs toilet.0 -
I want to try this out, but any ideas that could help me? I live on my own and work full time, so although some things I need to do a lot less than some of you (only 3 loads of laundry a fortnight!) I also need to do all the gardening and wash the car etc. (well, it only gets washed about once a month!). I'm working from home this week, so am gaining 2 hours a day that would be commuting time, so this week is OK, but any ideas for future weeks?
The garden is patio and gravel, so no lawn-mowing, but I'm growing some veg in containers and am just getting to that time of year when things need planting, and soon things will need watering regularly.
I usually cook for 4 and freeze the extra portions.0 -
Havent done kitchen yet but will in a mo:rolleyes: just wanted to give u loads of hugs pigpen hope your stepdad is ok, (((Hugs)))

Ahhh Coffee break :coffee:
Just caught up on my hotmail - 33 messages  Really need to check it daily, even on weekends me thinks...especially as my mate keep sending me funnies :rotfl: Mind you I do have a stack of surveys to do which I wasn't expecting (thats my next job).
Welcome to all the newbies - it gets MUCH easier as the weeks go by.
Also to add to my list is going to have to be some jobs for OH to do.
(THANKS TO BEBEE for reminding me of this one!) WARNING : RANT AHEAD!
OH was supposed to make an appointment to see the Local Tax Office about under/over payments of tax and he hasn't. I am thinking I am going to have to sit down, draft a letter to them with all the information in, then get OH to photocopy all the relevent papers and send it off. They're saying we owe them £776.69 again :mad:Which means they're changing his tax code AGAIN and reducing his tax free amount to £1695 instead of £5225! :wall: I don't know who's to blame this time, it could be OH old jobs ex-accountant who didn't file paperwork with the tax office which he said he would, it could be our fault for not knowing that WE had to inform the taxman about the company car (hindsight is a wonderful thing  ), it could be "The Tax Refund Company" who OH asked to look at our taxes (found them by accident through UNISON and OH thought it would be a good idea to get a "professional" to look at them  ), it could be the taxman himself. Who knows, but I'm SICK SICK SICK of it.
RANT OVER!
He also needs to re-install Microsoft Money which has been playing up since before Christmas.... seriously thinking of just doing it myself  Oh and he's currently driving the car around without a valid MOT as he "forgot" to book the car in for it's MOT at the start of last week and when he came to book it on Wednesday they couldn't fit him in until TOMORROW  I'd been telling him for the best part of the month!
Pigpen - hope your stepdad is okay.
Mermaid - thanks for the reminder that I need to get started on working in my garden
I don't have a diningroom (part of the livingroom) nor a downstairs loo (haven't got space for one anyway :rotfl: ) so that crossed half of Lil_me's list off :rotfl:

Well, I have actually done something today so I am feeling much happier.. it was devolving into the bear pit it once was.
I have even collected all the washing from my room and the boys room.. next time I go upstairs I'll be bringing Henry down.. he needs to get the front room cleaned. There are some toys on the landing which I can feel annoying me even though I am downstairs so I may find time to shift those! LO can go down for a nap shortly. I am trying to decide whether to brave taking her out in knix tomorrow or as it is only day 4 of toilet training put her in a nappy.. decisions decisions.. I know with the others I'd have put them pants on... wonder if I have any of the trainer pant things left anywhere?? no.. doubt it.. but I do have some washable stuffable nappies.. maybe just lightly stuffed they'd be better?? think think.. think think..

 I almost panicked then!! I changed my child benefit from being paid into our problem account to my account and it was due to be paid today.. and it isn't in either account.. so being a muppet I MUST have given them the wrong account number and they paid it into some strangers account.. turns out there has just been a delay and it will be in the new account tomorrow.. PHEW!!! I must stop being to scatty then I won't have to worry about things like this! I did get through pretty quickly though.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hiya
Pigpen - hope your step dad is ok.
Welcome to all the new people starting.
I've still not started my tidying up today and am off to help in the school this at 1 o'clock so really need to give myself a kick up the backside! This mornings plans went to pot after I had a strange reaction to nuts yesterday. DH made me go to doctors today and it turns out I have a nut allergy and have to totally avoid them until I see a specialist. So, anyone out there with any tips such as how do I still eat essential foods such as chocolate!I guess i'm just happy it's not my children.
Right, I will go and tidy. xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0
