    Been working hard the last few days, started on the garden too now the weather has warmed up a bit. Spent ages hacking honeysuckle off the trellis that blew down in the gales a while back. Now need to reattach the trellis and try to weave what's left of the honeysuckle back through it.

    Almost finished delousing DD, I bought a Nitty Gritty comb from Boots on Friday as I wanted to get it over and done with as soon as poss, and having just checked the website, I've found that you can get it on prescription, which means that if you have little ones it's free, see this link:
    Nitty gritty on prescription.

    Happy flying everyone, think tomorrow should be fairly easy for me as I got the kitchen sparkly last week for its photo shoot.
    You only get one go at life, so grab it where it hurts, shake it hard and get everything out of it you can!
  • Got a really busy week coming up trying to sort work out before I go away on Saturday and a few things on evenings so going to be hard to keep on top of my flying. However, determined to leave the house sparkly and tidy (as I usually leave it a tip when I go away and it's awful coming back to it like that) so going to make a real effort this week.

    I will be leaving the house at 7.15 in the morning and will only be home for about half an hour tomorrow evening before going out on a Market Research group and won't then be back home until around 11pm, so have got ahead of myself and started tomorrow's list already - set the timer for 20 minutes and really went for it!

    I will get right back on track this week, ready for easter half term.

    I have spent all weekend in the garden and have planted 32 plants, from ceonthus to jasmine, hope they all thrive. Feeling stiff now LOL
    So looking forward to tomorrow, kitchen , loo and dining room for me, so will be busy.
    Always on the hunt for a bargain
  • Happy new summer-time week, everyone!
    Having to use DS2's nap time for a meeting for a potential host for the Spanish students tomorrow, so will have to be ruthless and allow no prevarication.
    Managed to clear the ironing pile & the washing pile this weekend, and caught up with all the toddler group fundraising stuff I had to organise, so I should be OK. Determined to take control of finances, now I have control of the house, so that is my main extra-curricular activity this week.
    Have taken on one 'favour' last week - to recover some cushions, so I'll have to factor that into the evenings. Shouldn't be too bad now that the laundry is under control! I'm also limiting all TV watching to only when I am doing something else constructive and only to watch planned shows (Corrie, corrie and more corrie!)
    Ok so here goes (and it is a lot less daunting this week than last week!)

    Dailies
    [STRIKE]Make beds[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Washing out on line from overnight wash[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean and lay fire[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Wash on and on line[/STRIKE]
    Overnight wash -- oops! for the first time forever I might not have enough to go in!!!
    [STRIKE]Empty DW[/STRIKE]
    Bring in washing and iron
    [STRIKE]pick up prescription for DH[/STRIKE]

    Hotspots for week
    Top of Filing Cupboard
    Underneath Computer Desk
    Storeroom (one shelf at a time)
    Filing/pay bills
    MSE Budget (15 mins each evening)

    Kitchen
    1. [STRIKE]Wipe down all worktops, cupboard doors, drawer fronts and windowsill.[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]and the kick boards!![/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]Clean top of cooker, inside of fridge and microwave.[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]Clean sink, draining board and wash any plastic drainers/cutlery holders.[/STRIKE]
    4. [STRIKE]Sort out fridge make sure anything that needs using soon is at front[/STRIKE]
    5. [STRIKE]Clean washer drawer out, clean filter in dishwasher if you have one[/STRIKE]
    6, [STRIKE]If you didn't do the oven last week have a go this week[/STRIKE]
    8. [STRIKE]Wipe the washer and freezer front make sure those appliances sparkle[/STRIKE]
    9. [STRIKE]Clean floor[/STRIKE]
    10. [STRIKE]Clean window[/STRIKE]

    Morning :)

    Welcome to all the newbies :)

    Mondays are my not-so-flying day, because of work and then I get groceries! After that I'm usually knackered for the evening LOL

    So today:

    One load of towels washed and on the line;
    Puppy walked;
    Work - where I am at the moment;

    Still to do:
    Groceries;
    Dinner;
    Puppy starts Obedience classes tonight - and boy does she need it!

    Will do a general tidy up before bed - but that's about it for me today. :)

  • :confused: I ask myself - why do I bother?
    Darling DH, whom i love enormously, father of my children and provider of dosh for me to be very very very careful with, has just left for work with the parting shot 'Darling, perhaps you could be a little less efficient with the paper work? - I used to know where everything was'.
    I clarify that in the 'used to' days the paperwork was littered around the house wherever he had opened it, complete with empty envelopes and was frequently at the mercy of DS1's writings and cuttings, and fast catching up, DS2's scribblings.
    Is it home time yet?
