Supermarket Pet Hate

With all the perfectly behaved children these posters have, I am suprised that anyone ever see's misbehaving children or children sitting in trolleys. Maybe the bad uns just aren't MSE'ers?
It amuses me how pretty much every MSE child is perfection personified and has never once misbehaved in a shop, or anywhere in the world for that matter.

I don't mind supermarkets, or the people who go there. We all have to eat, we can't all shop at Waitrose (not very MSE anyway !) I just go in, get what i need and come out, if i get held up by OAP's, chavs or whatever, so what ?
I usually shop when i know i'm not going to be rushing to get out, usually on a Saturday morning, yes the shops are busy, but it's just a fact of life that most people work Mon-Fri.
I've put my kids in the trolley, and given them stuff to eat whilst going round the store, always paying for it. I'm not really bothered whether other people like it or not, they're my kids and as long as they don't bother anyone, it's up to me what i do with them.
I find that if you're ok with the checkout people, they're usually ok with you.
At last, the sweet voice of reason :T
Getting so irate with other people is very bad for the blood pressure, chill a littleI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Everytime I go into Asda lately I see someone in their pyjamas. Last week was a 18 year old girl in her slippers and dressing gown this weekend was a woman and all her kids in pyjamas lol.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

There were 2 kids sat in a trolley at Morrisons the other day, and because they weren't toddlers (easily 6/7 years old) their grandmother made them get out of the thing because she couldn't steer the trolley due to the weight.
Cue one of them having on of the biggest tantrums ever, the other kid started running all over and the mother just left the grandma to it and said "you watch them I'm getting some bread"
Later on they were trying to climb in the open top freezers and one of them grabbed a football out of one of those large basket things and dribbled the ball up and down the freezer aisle. He almost knocked an old lady over. The whole lot of them then got on the till next to us and the kids decided to play tig while people were trying to pack their shopping. And not once did the mother or grandmother tell them to stop it.
No wonder people get mad at parents who can't control their kids in those places.
That'll teach you to shop at Waitrose!;):rotfl:0 -

How on earth did you know she was 18? Did she get ID'd?
(As an aside, I'm really tempted to wear this M&S nightie as a dress: http://www.marksandspencer.com/Autograph-Striped-Maxi-Nightdress/dp/B0028Q518K?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_28&nodeId=1568183031&sr=1-28&qid=1344379962&pf_rd_r=13CREMREP4ZMM6DARMQK&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=215485807&pf_rd_s=center-3)0 -

She only looked 18, of course I may be wrong but there is no need to be so defensive I didn't even criticise her. Unless your one of the nighty brigade I don't know what your point is.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

It's really nice and it looks like a proper dress, so do it! I used to wear "slip" nighties as going-out-clubbing dresses, they were in styles, colours & fabrics that looked like proper clothes so no-one could tell and I was saving a fortune not buying going-out-clobber in Topshop (which never fit me properly anyway).Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -

Do you live in Liverpool? Young girls/women have been going out in their pyjamas for years round there. Hope its not catching on.....
(not pyjamas that dont look like pyjamas either, full on teddy decorated, avec matching fluffy slippers and dressing gown )0 -
And the curlers in their hair! Dear Jupiter, those curlers. What is that all about, I can't fathom it at all?Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0
