Do you mean brassiere? Or brazier? Slight difference!

    or this

I assumed it was someting else entirely that was too modern for me to understand and that everyone apart from me knew exactly what a 'significant brazier' was :o

Is the OP's point that they had no idea it would send for as little as 69p when they created the listing?
So not really their fault that they overcharged.
They could have offered a refund after finding out (if they even checked, if it was posted along with a load of others) but arguably the item would have been bidded higher if the postage was lower, so they would still lose out by doing this.

If they can send either for 69p then well done to them!
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I think most sellers would refund part of the difference, and it is against 'most other sellers' that buyers judge us.

Not refunding, or not noticing their postage costs has resulted in OP getting a neg, and potentially rather nasty stars as well. I am hoping though that OP can clarify whether this item did go as a large letter or whether it was a packet- as I do think if buyer has stated something so obviously incorrect in the feedback that the OP has nothing to lose by phoning ebay.

A bra can be flattened in card and sent in a jiffy for 69p, one of my colleagues trades in that market. She had to change her packaging though as she used to gift wrap and pad the 'cups' before packing, and that pushed her into the 'packet' rate and no one would pay £2.20 postage for an average bra.

A reasonable comment. I guess by refunding the OP would have lost out a little this time, but known better for next time...

Unfortunately that neg isn't going to help with future sales though. :(

If the actual cost to the OP was 69p plus packaging, that would no way justify 2.50 for postage - start price being low or not (that is just fee avoidance or search manipulation anyway and as such is against the rules).

That's my point. Noticing that the postage was significantly lower and refunding would have been the better option.

    Sorry! Just hopped back online.

It cost £2.20 to send. I wrapped it in bubble wrap because it was underwired and I didn't want an overzealous post worker accidentally pushing the wiring through. It was a heavy gel filled padded bra (sorry for any blokes reading this)- I just don't understand why someone would lie about it though?

The joke is that I sold a few of these types of bra and charged the exact same postage and they were all being sent in the UK, but this is the only one I have received a neg for.

I'm still on 4.8 stars though- do you think this buyer was lying/moaning for the sake of it?
