What can you send for 69p?

Just checked my feedback and found this:

"Unreasonable postage charges cost 69p charged £2.50".

Unsuprisingly it was a negative. (sigh).

This was for a *ahem*, significant brazier.

So I ask you this- have you ever managed to send something (other than a first class letter) for 69p?

It's the rate for a 2nd Class large letter under 100g. Smaller than A4 and no thicker than 2.5cm (from memory - don't quote me...) And yes, send several per day.

What was it you actually sent and did it actually cost you 69p?

You have been given the measurements above. It costs 69p to send something of large letter size, less than 100g, via second class. It isn't a trick answer.

Yes I sell several lines that go at 69p. Some take some very careful wrapping though!

I keep the plastic gauge on my desk and my borderline items are constantly checked for size as I wrap.

Our two main postage items sent by Royal Mail are 100g second class large letter and 750g packets, standard second class rates of 69p and £2.20.

What I don't understand on this thread is how much OP paid for postage. If you paid £2.20 for a packet then buyer shouldn't have complained, if you did pay 69p then I wouldn't like to have paid £2.50 for postage.

It might have to remain a mystery until OP re vists the thread.

I'm off to the PO shortly, very slow day today as I haven't been listing much , but more than half of my multiple BINS are large letter size so the majority of my stuff is going 69p today.

  • The postage prices are clear and if the potential buyer is not happy with the costs then they shouldn't purchase.

I think we have enough threads about what is fair p and p - until the OP says whether this item went for 69p or £2.20 we won;t know if it is fair or not. In this case buyer 'has' purchased and 'has' left a neg already so they are obviously unhappy. If OP comes back and says postage cost £2.20 then a phone call to ebay might be in order or even a call to buyer who may well have left the feedback for the wrong person.

The OP needs to check their expanded dashboard to see whether stars have bene hammered as well, although that can take a few days to update.
