What stars to give

£5 postage for pair of shoes which cost 2.20 to post wrapped in papper that they were breaking through haven't opened yet to see if they have suffered any damage but got knows how they got here. Would you mention it to the seller and see what they say or would you neutral, and mark down stars

The ends of the heels wereoking slightly through the brown paper small bubble wrap inside. It scraps and dents up both heels why would someone not put them in a jify bag

Personally I stick by my advice in that other thread. Contact seller first and tell them they appear to have overcharged you on p and p and also mention that their packaging might need revising as your items only just arrived in one piece.

If they don't respond favourably then I would probably still leave a positive assuming that shoes are perfect, but would certainly hit the p and p stars.

Shoes are damaged, seller has said I should take it up with royal mail as its a handling issue.

She has informed me that she charges higher for postage and packaging to make more money on her item

She also says she double wrapped in a bag and then brown paper which she didnt

Just open a SNAD claim then and escalate it As soon as you can. You will need to return them and I would suggest tracking for a seller that bad.

Once you have your refund, and not before, leave appropriate feedback to warn other buyers and use the stars wisely. Personally for overcharging and poor packaging which has resulted in damage to your goods I would be looking at a 1 or 2 * here and the same for communication. How dare they tell you to take it up with Royal mail- ridiculous.

I had this dilemma the other week. If you recall the free £10 in home and garden promotion? I needed a UV Bulb for my pond, it was £9.00 something with free p+P so I bought it with me free £10.

I am amazed it arrived. This 10" or so long, glass UV bulb wrapped in a tiny piece of flexible card was placed in a thin jiffy bag! Annoyingly as it was free P+P I couldn't rate on his packaging at all and I didn't deem it fair to mark his other stars down instead so I opted not to leave feedback but made a note never to use this seller again.

I always find it annoying that you cannot rate the packing when its free P+P, no, I'm not paying for that element, but if its so poorly packed its nothing short of miraculous when it arrives I think people should be told.

By some miracle yes it did, remains to be seen for how long. Had I paid for it then I would have left feedback reflecting the abysmal packaging, but as I said in my post I didn't pay for it so chose not to leave feedback and take the knowledge never to buy a bulb from this seller instead.

So you paid nothing for something,'something' worked and yet you still find yourself hard done by.

It was not something for nothing, op got a voucher as part of a promotion and it was worth £10 and seller was fully paid for the item.
