  • I'll swap you for a kitten, who in less than two months, has wrecked two huge sofas, six leather dining room chairs, an electric leather recliner, FIVE blinds, two stupidly expensive rugs and is now starting on the sodding wallpaper!

I rescued a dog of about 18 mnths old from someone I knew, I thought he would be a pain but the only thing he ever did was go through the bin a few times, I guess before he realised that food came to him, he's 9 now, doesn't even get up to bark

My partner, completely unused to dogs, confidently left our Lab alone in the back yard to enjoy her new wooden kennel (I had warned him). He came back to a tremendously pleased dog and a 6ft pile of splinters.....
  • How about a seven month old boxer that digs the garden for you....only she digs the lawn, flower beds, rose beds, in fact she will dig any where she can!

My anti chew tip from one of my best dog-mad mates is to spray said article with muscle spray.... Deep Heat, Ralgex, etc. Dog will not touch ever again (nor will try in the first place) as they hate the smell, so won't dare try it in their mouths! Worked a treat for mine!

My dog likes to prune the rose bushes and cut (ok, eat) the grass - they should go into business together!

She's also found (or probably created) a hole in the fence and spent 20 minutes in our neighbour's garden today whining because she couldn't figure out how to get back. I hope she didn't do any gardening while she was in there...

Yes, I can safely say that they would soon turn a nice garden into something....well....different!

Anyone want a selection of ferrets who have wrecked a carpet and are now well on their way to seeing the back of the laminate floor, who will clear shelves of all their contents in minutes, will steal, hide and probably chew to oblivian anything made of rubber or silicon (mobile phones in their covers, pens, remote controls, shoes...) and who will reduce any nice lawn to something resembling the Somme......?

My lovely Border Terrier, the little angel, has never chewed anything but his toys:A but my friend has a schnauzer who chewed through the floorboards and then burst a water pipe:eek: That was lovely to come home to.
