I am furious with the little sod.
Bearing in mind she is meant to be old, knackered, asleep 99% of the time and hasn't been interested in her toys for weeks.
Visiting a relative yesterday, 3 hour drive so mutt comes along as it's too long to leave her. Snores all the way there. Snores her way through the visit, despite my best efforts to wake her up and walk her. Snores for the first 10 minutes of the drive home. Waits till the torrential downpour which means I can't take my eyes of the road to check on her, then when I'm fully concentrating on the drive takes the opportunity to chew her way through my rear seatbelt.
£125 the last time she did it and I had to replace it, MOT fail so it needs replacing straight away as the MOT is due.
(Also cross with myself for trusting her as it's not the first time she's done it, but she's been so good in the car lately. And cross with my passenger who was meant to be keeping an eye on her but instead decided it was better to follow my instructions and look for road signs. And just generally cross!)
Aging incontinent smelly badly behaved bull terrier for sale. Again. No reasonable offer refused. In fact no offer refused, full stop.

Can't you put her in a dog carrier to keep her away from mischief?
(sorry, I'm a great person to have around AFTER a crisis

No. Not today I don't.
Kateliana27 - I would have done but she's been so much better of late on the chewing front, we rarely do these long journeys so it seemed a waste of money. Plus the vet said she's not going to be around much longer - if she keeps this up, she may be around for less time than he anticipated.
Off to google scrap yards in the hope of a cheap seat belt. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I will swap you for a german shepherd who has gone through the first 20 months of her life only chewing her toys and bone. But has now decided everything is fair game on chewing !!0

I will throw my 1 year old labrador into the pot if anyone wants her, chewed a big chunk of wall the other day for no good reason  :rotfl:Just keep swimming!0

Aww, I know you love her really!
I was going to suggest looking for breakers yards for a second hand seatbelt....you often find them on Gumtree funnily enough.0 -
Swap for an unhousetrainable spitz?:p0

She might be old and knackered but at least she's got good teeth :rotfl:0

I turned my back on my "good as gold" dog for 5 minutes last week and she bit right through her brand new lead (fortunately in the house and not out on a walk). At least that only cost £7 to replace, but I was not impressed.
We'll be taking her on a 3 hour drive next week, so will keep an eye on the seatbelts!!!0 -
Oh I'm sorry but your post didn't half make me laugh!!! They are little g1ts at times lol0
