you might find some other time-saving ideas on Thriftlady's Meal Buildiing Blocks for the Freezer thread

I like to keep crumble mix, grated cheese and the vegetable base in my freezer; there's more info on the veg base on Thriftlady's blog... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I don't really do this for baking mixes/sauce mixes etc. as I don't think (in my case) that it would save me much time--if any. However, I do do it with other things. For example, if I happen to have a spare moment I will sometimes chop and extra onion/pepper etc. and chuck it in the freezer. I'll sometimes pre-cook and freeze meat in individual portions to make up into other things (but must be small portions as it cannot be re-frozen afterwards). I tend to find that I either have time to cook, or I don't. As a result most of my pre-made conveniences tend to be things like HM ready meals in the freezer. That said, I do tend to try to have my meals fit in with the rythem of my week. So, this week I had a lazy weekend where I roasted chicken. Later in the week I'll have some of the leftover chicken in the fridge ready to go into a simple pie (with ready made crust, although if I weren't ill I might have made that and put it in the fridge as well).0

I do it for when I make bread. I make about 3 or 4 dry ingredient bags so that I can just throw a bag into the machine with the liquid on a Saturday morning when I come downstairs.Ditch 100 in January Challenge 100/100
