Just wanted to share that the easiest Bisquick like mix to make that i've found is:
10cups SELF-RAISING flour
2 cups White Flora/Trex
...that's it!
And I made a truly scrumptious pudding by doing this but using mincemeat instead of raspberry jam :

Makes me wish I had an oven!! Ours died a number of months ago. Anyone got any recipes for frugal non-bake cakes please? Or perhaps hob cook ones?
Thanks!
I can remember from my childhood my mother baking cakes etc in her slow cooker. I've found a couple of sites that give basic instructions. Hope these help.

Another one for a fantastic mix. I haven't tried it but the variations are amazing.

Makes me wish I had an oven!!
Is it any help to say that we had no oven for three months after we moved (you should have seen the STATE of the one they left in) so I bought a table top oven from our local department store for £99. It was brilliant and I was able to get back to baking etc.
I was also offered one to borrow from a friend who had a table top oven from student days.
I'm sure that if you got one, new or second hand, you would be able to resell it once you got a 'big' oven in place
Good luck0 -
