Eh?
Talking of Seb Coe, he is apparently good friends with the fabulous Rudisha (Kenyan Masai) who won the 800 metres tonight. Did no one else think that race was wonderful? The man is just so elegant and distinguished.
It was fantastic. A pleasure to watch. 8 runners, 7 of whom set personal bests, some of which were national records. David Rudisha set a world record. Even the Briton who finished last set a PB and only three British men have run faster: Coe, Cram and Elliott. Furthermore, that slowest time was faster than the last three Olympic 800m finals. Coe called it the greatest 800m ever run.
I think other than the Bolt show, the other great story from yesterday was the US runner on the first leg of the 4X400m relay team who broke his leg at 200m and carried on running:

If the US team medal, he'll likely get to stand on the podium (although with his leg strapped up) for being part of the team. Can you imagine the cheer that'll get? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Two weeks later I got ratified for a media pass! Turned up at the Stadium on the Friday evening and got asked for my Press Pass. In the Hotel I said, showed them my Passport and got handed the Media Pack. Turned up for the meet the next day to find my seat on the finishing line, with a computer and other Gizmo's I hadn't the foggiest how to use. My seat was in-between a reporter from the Mail on one side and the Telegraph on the other. You should have seen the faces of the Tour Group my friends were with when they found out! Best blag ever!
I wish I had the chutzpah to carry that off! Award yourself a gold medal for blagging.
