                    Hello,
I lost my wonderful dad 4 years ago.
My dad had a wicked sense of humour, he was quitely spoken ,tall and a medium build.
he was very modest in his actions.I miss him today really badly and at other times I simply think of him.
I feel like I could cry and although I love my life , I have an amazing daughter, I still want my dad to talk to and be with him.
do you remember when you were in your mid -late teens?
when you were in and out the house and stuff, I d like a day back there now so I could just have the wisdom of now and my dad
Thank You for reading I just wanted to say how I felt xx:)

            Hello there,
Your post caught my eye because I miss my Dad too - he died 2 years ago and today would have been his 85th birthday.
Like your Dad, mine was very quietly spoken and modest. He was described by his carers as a true gentleman.
I also miss my Mum, she died 12 years ago - those teenage years that you are remembering - I learnt more from my Mum than my Dad - I'd still love to go back in time and spend just one more day with them both.
It's entirely natural to miss your loved ones - I've been crying a bit today but I don't feel bad about that. I know what you're going through.0 -

Awww sending big (((HUGS)))
I too lost my parents in a very short space of time by the time I was 21. And even now nearly 10 years on there isn't a single day when I don't miss them
But most of all I feel sorry for my 3 girls who never got to know their grandparents and have missed out on knowing them. My dad had cancer which ended up spreading everywhere, I was pregnant with DD1 when he was ill, it was awful, but I had time to prepare myself for his death as I knew it wasn't far off, he died when my dd was 8 weeks old. But my Mum's death came as a big shock, she died very suddenly (stroke) when my second dd was 9 weeks old- 16 months after my dad:( That was the most horrendous experience (and there have been a few) that I had ever gone through, I remember wanting to end it as I hadn't just lost my mum but my best friend, as cliche as it sounds, but I saw dd1 in her play pen and dd2 in her chair and it stopped me, they were what got me through it.
That time of my life passed in a blur, I was also petrified of losing anyone else, and as silly as it sounds I was terrified that if I had another child I would lose someone else. When I did fall pregnant with dd3 (while I was on the pill), I was a bit of a wreck, even the thought of terminating went through my head as I was so nervous. I am so glad I didn't though and I feel quite guilty for thinking that, I love my dd3 so much.
It is normal to feel how you feel, I think of my parents every day, I think how they should be here seeing my girls grow, I miss everything about them, and sometimes I feel envious when friends of mine do things with their parents. But I know they are watching and your dad will be watching down on you and your daughter too, he will never be far from you.

Sending you a hug.
I lost my dad 30 years ago and I still miss him. Fortunately he lived just long enough to see both my children who are now in their thirties. Many times I have wished he could share in all the good things over the years. I sometimes 'talk' to him if I am really down and that usually gets me back on an even keel.
My Dad was famous for walking the dog around the time the last bus got in about 10.30 - of course we knew he was just making sure my sister or I got home safe when we had been in town.0 -

            I miss my Dad too.
He died 25 years ago, when he was 36 and I was 13
He has missed sooo much. I go to his grave and take some comfort from the words engraved on it
'Mourn not that I have died, but rejoice that I have lived'

I lost my best friend my dear Dad a year ago and I miss him each and every day, it still breaks my heart that he never got to see my little one, I've really needed his wise words over the last year it's been such a tough year infact the worse year of my life.
I still cry when I think of him, I am now just typing this..I just wish he was here today, instead of me visiting his resting place.
I love & miss you Dad

I've longed for my Dads words of wisdom on many occasions.
Maybe we are just very lucky to have had good Dads.0
