Whiplash,I have a claim ongioing,If that will come to anything I dont know. I have had 2 years of torture with the effects I have been having I cant go into to much detail as dont want to compromise my case. Not everyone who has experienced a Whiplash Injury is at it!, I am sure most people understand that.
I am struggling financially at the moment and getting to the position where I will have to be selling off the few assets I have.
I have gone from being very fit to being left feeling like an old man greatful for doing a bit of gardening or going for a walk my problem is with balance and its a F!!!! Nightmare
Frightened to cross a busy road cant climb ladders cant look up for long, I have even considered killing myself I have been so fed up and seeing all I worked for possibly being taken away, as I had a good job but havent been able to do it for so long.
Its a long lonely road and god knows if I will get recompensed much for my losses and dont suppose I will get anything for the severe stress I find myself in.
I have pre judged people in the past but sometimes we are wrong.
I would give anything to be back where I was before the Accident even for my self respect not being able to treat my family and worrying about the bills as they are stacking up.
Sorry if this sound s like a rant but I need to let this off my chest.
If anyone is in the same boat good luck and your not alone.0 -
\my sister and husband were hit from behind coming out of a shops car park, they had no injury whatsoever and even said to the insurance company they werent hurt yet they still both got over £1000 each really quickly after the accident as the insurance company put it through anyway and that was through motabilitys insurance company... no wonder people see the benefits system as a soft touch!
Feel sorry for the poor person who hit them, think they said it was a young male so he'd have no hope of affordable insurance after that0 -
Some nugget drove into the back of my car this week; and I am in quite alot of pain right now - all down the left hand side including knee and ankle.
I am due to see the chiro in the next week, after seeing the doctor - and last time I had whiplash [about 20 years ago] it took years for the symptoms to go - back then I didn't know the ins and outs of insurance and I wasn't driving, and I didn't have money to spend on a solicitor or a chiro. I'm going to be fuming if this lasts anywhere near as long to be honest, it's hard doing a physical job when you can't walk properly or bend over, or indeed carry anything.
And yes, I will be claiming if it gives me pain for several months - why wouldn't I? He's not there paying my chiro fees, or for the painkillers, or getting labourers in to do some of the work that I'd usually be doing. And it's not just work time, I should right now be out in my own allotment or garden and I'm stuck indoors in pain. Great. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
My ex sil had a whiplash claim, rejected the forst few offers and settled on £3200.0

I agree whiplash is a pita. I was run into from behind by a taxi driver too busy talking to her passenger to see the queue of cars in front of her! So to anyone going on about people making claims don't forget it can take another driver to cause the whiplash. More due care and attention needed.
My incident was back in March and I constantly feel like I've been smacked round the back of my right ear by a rock and am not able to do all the things I could before. I get headaches and constant earache because of it and it does make you fed-up!Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
I was involved in a non fault RTA in 2006 and to this day I still suffer from the after effects with neck and back problems, the claim took the full three years and it was going to court, but the third party insurer made an offer that settled the case hours beforehand.
If however they could get rid of the pain that is still ongoing, so I didn't need to take pain killers / muscle relaxants & anti inflamatories then id happily give the money back.ORIGINAL MORTGAGE AMOUNT £106,454.00 (Started Sept 2007)

I was involved in an accident in a bus where the bus driver drove erratically for some miles along a rural road. Despite being asked by the passengers to take more care he did not and hit a wall of an old house in a village. I am claiming because I have a severe neck and back injury which has exacerbated a fracture from a RTA (non fault) in the same week.
I was one of the sceptics about whiplash but never again. I am in so much pain and am seeing a specialist and a physio. I am making a claim against the bus company and whilst I don't really agree with the 'where there's blame there's a claim' culture I have been very physically hurt as well as seriously out of pocket.THE LONG AND THE SLOW ROAD SEEM TO APPLY TO DEBTS AND DIETS... Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
Sounds like you picked up significant injury, i.e. a fracture earlier in the week. I assume you are claiming for that one too?
Negligent bus driver by the sound of it, especially if other passengers had warned him already. I do find the standard of drivers varies a lot and I am sure (as a frequent bus user) some deliberately make it uncomfortable for passengers.
Unlucky to have two accidents so close to each other and no doubt the second was worse if you were clearly still suffering from the first. Fractures typically take 6 weeks to heal.
I wish you a speedy recovery and a speedy and fair settlement for your pain.Mr Straw described whiplash as "not so much an injury, more a profitable invention of the human imagination—undiagnosable except by third-rate doctors in the pay of the claims management companies or personal injury lawyers"0 -
I have a claim for the car RTA and the bus. The fracture still has pins in my fingers, it has been 8 weeks now. I am in considerable pain and feeling quite emotional about the whole thing.
Thankfully the bus company has admitted liability despite at first saying that none of their buses returned to the depot damaged...:rotfl:THE LONG AND THE SLOW ROAD SEEM TO APPLY TO DEBTS AND DIETS... THE TWO THINGS I WANT TO SEE THE BACK OF...:D0 -
