  • If anyone is considering Laser Hair Removal and you're located near a Transform clinic, then you may be interested to know they are currently offering 1/2 price courses. I think the current offer ends on 31st December, although they were also offering the same in February earlier this year.

Thought I'd post about my Vaniqa experiment as I know some people here are interested:

Thanks for the blog link :)

I've just had a look on ebid there and can see 2 sellers for vaniqa - both around the £22-£26 mark. Think I'll invest...

  • Just thought I'd drop a wee note to say how I'm getting on with this stuff.

    In a word...

    lol :) Only messing!

I honestly have to say I noticed a difference within a week (supposed to be 8!)!! Usually I epilate my face once a week on a Fri eve or Sat morning, and I'm usually itching to get it done coz it's driving me crazy. But that first week, by the Saturday I actually figured I could leave it an extra day or 2!! Maybe it all depends how 'bad' things are to begin with. I don't know. Plus, I'm not always using it both morning and night as instructed. Once a day at least. Can't get over the difference already!

So it's a big thumbs up from me! :D

  • Hi

My dr will not prescribe this to me due to cost, and it is no longer for sale on ebid. Does anyone know anywhere else this can be bought?
  • I feel sad reading my post in here from back in August stating that my hairiness was down to my Eastern european roots. Found out rt he other week that I have pcos :(

But now you have been diagnosed your GP has to treat you with what is available according to pals

So look at it as a positive.

I'm borderline. So no I don't get any authorised treatments
  • What a fab thread! I thought I was a freak as I have battled with my very hairy body and face since being a teen. The problem seems to be getting more acute now I am in my 50's I can cope with the wrinkles that age brings but find the facial hair very difficult to accept

Currently shave/epilate but find epilating my face very painful and get awful spots afterwards but have ben accepting the bumps and spots as a reasonable payoff to have a fuzz free face for a few weeks

I can't use creams as they just burn my skin and the resulting soreness and redness lasts for days and days - by the time its faded - the hair has returned for an encore

I have just ordered a x12 magnifying mirror and a Epicare from Amazon to try - live well out of town so visiting a threading salon is not possible and have had limited results from DIY threading

Will follow this thread with interest to see how eberyone gets on with their various strategies!

I can sympathise with you charlies-aunt. I 'put up' with the lumps and bumps and spots as a result of hair removal, just so I can be fuzz free too!!

    EDIT:
Just checked on ebid and Vaniqa is back on for sale for £23.99 :D
