Dr Chris Steel swore by it and if you tell your GP this is affecting you mentally they will prescribe it.
I suffer with this and have done since I was 8. It's awful.
I am still at the waxing/threading stage but will be going for Vaniqua before too long!

Hmmm, not sure my gp would go for it. It took me 9 years to persuade him to refer me to get a number of large moles removed from my face. They were get larger every year and he said because they were benign he wouldn't refer me. It took OH going with me and taking my make up bag (to show the level of make-up I used to disguise them) and old photos with my hair up (something I didn't do when the moles appeared) and me in tears before he finally referred me.

I would see a different GP. I hate it when you get one that plays God with you!
You have every right to treatment for something that affects how you feel about yourself!
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!! :p

I recently changed surgeries as I moved to a different area. First time I went in to see a Dr, I took one look at her and decided I was never gonna be sick! :p

Where did you buy it from Angelil?
Ebid, for about £40 (as opposed to the £70 you can see on other sites). I'll be checking all the ingredients when it arrives to make sure it's not a fake :p The seller has a good reputation, it seems, so I hope my confidence in purchasing proves justified.

I also found another site selling it, which gets good reviews (and in fact is even less than what I paid for it, so I missed a trick there!). The site is called Pharm4All.
  • Hi
I have the same problem with thick dark hairs on my chin and finer ones on upper lips and neck, though still VERY noticeable.
I do suffer from PCOS, and am currently having treatment (laser) at a clinic in London.
Got a huge reduction as was able to supply a letter from Dr's.
Am going to have my 3rd treatment next week, I have noticed a difference on my neck and the ones on my chin do look a littls thinner now, but it is so hard not to shave at all as I look like a man :(
Am on school hols now so not so bad, but cant leave it when in school.
    Have 3 treatments left????

I agree that maybe you should think about a permanent solution, not laser as I had laser too and its not done much for me (apart from my underarms), but consider electrolysis as it is supposed to be the only real permanent hair removal method. My friend had hers done, she had loads along her sideburn area and now she says she feels so much free-er having got rid of them!

it is a long term thing though you need to commit to it for a year or longer

Please don't be fooled - even electrolysis is not permanent - the hair will return

There is no such thing as permanent hair removal as yet - only reduction in growth and usually only as long as treatment is being carried out.

Stop the treatment - and the hair will regrow

Stick at it. I only got 4 of my 6 laser treatments done due to personal circumstances, finances and the company closing down. Def could see a big, big reduction. I'm now 5 years on since my treatment and it's still never been near as bad as when I first started treatment.

Another wee bit of info which may be helpful. I'd been on the depo for about 7-8 years. Wasn't allowed to continue on with it so had to switch to nexplanon at the end of May. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I could almost swear there's less facial hair now than before....

I decided to google threading and gave it a go, its soooo much harder than it looks (tried it on my leg). Still using my tweezers but the vaniqua sounds interesting. Any progress on those that have used it?

Transgender friend of mine had electrolysis to get rid of her facial hair, which was reduced by hormones, but was still drastic enough for comments like 'that lady really needs a shave.'

It was very successful and she doesn't have any growth now, but it was pretty intensive.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
