How best to remove (women's) facial hair?

Hi
Apologies if this has already been mentioned, I haven't read all the thread as it's quite long.
I started to notice a few darker hairs on my top lip and started going for needle electrolysis. I've been for a few sessions, but in the meantime I swear the little b*ggers are multiplying...or probably there's something going on hormonally and it's affecting more hairs as time goes on. Anyway, the place I go also does transdermal electrolysis which will do the whole top lip and hopefully be less painful. I'm thinking of trying it.
Has anyone had transdermal electrolysis and does it work?
Thanks

I use an epilator about once or twice a week on my chin, upper lip and less frequently, my sideburns. It's brilliant! If I spot a stray I pluck it out with my tweezers. I usually do it in the evening to avoid going out with a red face.0

i currently epilate my face and a combination of that and shaving every where else
I am really interested in the spray, how long does the bottle last? And has anyone tried it on their face?0 -

I am being very inconsistent about use.
The bottle is lasting well. I use about six squirts per leg (knee down), two under each arm. I need to get into the route of bikini line, and I have tried it a clue of times on my face...not to use yet, just to see if I have any bad reaction (I haven't, but I have very sensitive skin). On the legs I am most impressed. It deals with this hair really well. Bikini line/underarms I think needs treatment as given in the instructions, twice a day. I haven't been consistent, but where as my leg hair has responded almost immeadiately, the bikini line I don't think has at all yet. I cannot blame the product, as I say, I am being inconsistent.0 -
Hi, just wondering (I couldn't see it mentioned in the thread) those of you who have had laser treatment on the face, did you have to shave before each treatment? I had laser treatment 2 years ago (good results - reductions not total removal) on my stomach and underarms and I had to shave the day before. Recently saw my Dr about my hairy face and she said that in the future if we couldn't figure out was causing it she can refer me for laser treatment. But I really don't want to shave my face........1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100
MFW 2013 no. 62 £10,000/£10,000
MFW 2014 no 62 £8000/£70000 -
When I was going for laser on my face the staff actually preferred I didn't shave (but obviously you're not allowed to pluck/epilate/cream either) Meant that when I went for a session they could draw on my face the target areas, then shave me themselves, then laser.Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0

I'm very inerested in purchasing Vaniqa from Ebid like others have suggested, but can you still tweeze whilst using it??2015 Big wins: luxury 7 night holiday in sharm el sheikh, theatre tix, £123, IPad Air 16gb, Night in London hotel celebjuicetix :, Portable dvd playerT

Vaniqa doesn't remove hair. It slows the growing process down so it has the effect of less hair coming through. I've had good results with it but is still have to use hair removal methods.
Vaniqa is a prescription only item. Most NHS PCT's have blacklisted it so for most people the only legal way to get hold of it is a private prescription.......very expensive!0 -
Skimmed through thread,I had been suffering for years with facial hair, tried bleaching, waxing plucking, which was time consuming and resulted in Spotty sore skin,I have been getting electrolysis for 2 and a half years, starting 15 mins a week and now 15 mins every 5/6 weeks results have been great and has really improved my confidence, not sure if prob was hormonal, but my mum had facial hair problems and would shave, I really wish I had tried electrolysis years ago as I always thought I would have to pay hundreds of pounds in one go, where as the beauty consultant charges as treatment is done and is a genuine and sympathetic lady, I definitely recommend this treatment, well worth it hope this helps someone xxx0
