Hello ladies
Been a bit quiet due to a very hectic week, first real IN of the month, started to panic that I had NO shower gel in the stash (except one that I bought and put aside for hols) and TBS soap we're using is half gone so just got a Radox Moisturise from HB - feels like a treat as haven't actually bought any for so long!!
Also had a drama with broken hair straighteners and a missing receipt I ransacked the house for but Boots were very obliging and exchanged them anyway, cue big sigh of relief! OH nearly fell over when I told him how much they cost :rotfl: Ha most men haven't a clue what beauty products cost have they?!
Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather we've been having here the past couple of days, hope it holds out - have a Christening to go to next weekend and I want to wear a summer dress - it is August afterall!
We have a newly painted gold post box near us - how exciting!! How fabulous the Olympics have been - I've been glued to it - its certainly spurred me on at the gym

:T :T :T Congratulations Adilade! :T :T :T
I'm having the kind of day when I realise how far I am from ever graduating so I'm even more impressed than usual that someone has achieved graduation!
I've just sorted my nail varnishes out. I've separated them into colour familes and have just totted up the result...93 nail varnishes!:eek::eek:
That includes any base coat, top coats, treatments etc. I have 14 orange/pink, 28 reds, 12 purples, 7 blue/green, 8 glitters and 24 clear/treatment/nudes. Some are very old (15 years or more??) and only one looks too gloopy to use.
TA - No 7 So Smooth Base Coat (1/3rd left, didn't respond to thinner)
I'm not sure where I'm going to store my newly sorted boxes. I'm hoping that I'll get more use out of the NVs now they are sorted into colour groups. I'd still like the Maybelline 'Extreme Blackcurrent' NV (a beautiful dark, non-sparkly purple) but I'm going to make myself try out my existing purples first. (I have an ELF Mattifying top coat to play with - if it works I'll be really pleased). The most important lesson is NO MORE REDS! Ever! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hi Ems!
You just reminded me to say that it's a free listing weekend on eBay :j I've been waiting for the weather to improve as I have quite a few dresses that I'd like to sell.
(I need to clear some space for all my boxes of NV!)0 -
Hmmmm. I've been away and had a think about my NVs. I think I'm going to have to put myself on a ban. I'm going to try one month for starters. I wanted to do something dramatic and say three months but I struggled with the fact that meant no NV until November! (It was the change in season that spooked me! :rotfl:)
So.
No NV for one month. Then I'll review the situation. (Gosh, I'm sounding awfully serious...) If I find that all my base coats are useless then I'm allowed one of those. (I've used a Mavala one today and the surface looks bobbly/blistered) NV isn't a big problem area for me so I had a real shock when I counted up how many bottles I had amassed  It really is 15-20 years worth, so I've bought around 5 a year. It's just that I could see the potential to get enthused about NV and suddenly find I had double that amount. (I know NV is a special treat for lots of you and I can really see the appeal. I already have special treat things though so definitely don't want to kick off another 'enthusiasm'!)
Happily, all my NV has fitted into four old beauty boxes and I've written the colour groups on the outside of the box(I've put a divider in three of the boxes). Expect to see lots of PYONs from now on! :rotfl:
PYON Today - Maybelline Really Rosy with Mavala base and top coat. I hope it lasts longer this time...0 -

I like the Holland & Barrett one.
Well ladies. Am posting to say au revoir. Will "see" you in 2 weeks. Be good all of you. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm, 5ml - WMBA, really helped keep my undereyes soft during the night and didn't wake up dry, however the balmy consistency is more suited to over night rather than during the day.
