I haven't been clear enough previously; so let me be clear now. I am not remotely interested in your amateur legal opinion. Please don't waste your time further.

    Thanks.

Do you think that every time you pay a fine for parking somewhere you shouldn't have, that your bank are going to pay this for you ?

Because thats how your post comes across. Which is why some people may not be quite so sympathetic. It's also not a good idea to assume that all posters are amateurs.

As I have said before, and I really wish you would listen, I am not prepared to enter into legal discussions with people not qualified to offer opinion. You don't know the facts of the case, nor are they relevant.

The OP is talking about Clamping

You really are on the wrong board, people on here know nothing about clamping charge backs.

Over on Pepipoo people are getting payments reversed when they have had to pay under duress.

Seems Barclaycard are the best ones. If you need more advice either go to pepipoo or go to the parking and ticket section on here
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

    Indeed we are:)

You just have be persistant with the bank, if they decline, as for a deadlock letter then advise you are going to the FOS service etc.

This will cost them £500 straight up.

If this does happen peeps on pepipoo will help you complie what you need to say etc

    Hope it sorts out soon

    Cheers Basfordlad :)

The chargeback has now been sent from my CC provider to the merchant acquirer, was just interested to see how long the process would take. From what I read, if the merchant acquirer challenges it, it can take 45 days.. oh well, waiting game now.

I don't need to know the facts of your case, i've dealt with many cases similar to yours where chargebacks have rejected. I'm not discussing any legalities, just my experience of chargebacks.

It may not be directly relevant in this case, but sometimes card companies do refund themselves on a goodwill basis.
I had this happen with CapitalOne.
My case was out of time for a chargeback (due to it being holiday related and bill paid in advance), and they said it didn't qualify for section 75 but they made a payment as a goodwill gesture.

Just thought I'd mention it for general consumption even if not directly relevant to this instance.
