Glad to hear your little one is ok, and it must be nice if a little bittersweet that she looks like her daddy.
Sorry to hear about the breastfeeding issues and the problems with the bleeding, I hope things are settling down a bit now and you are healing well.
Fingers crossed you get your birth certificate in time."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Baby Kavics is 4 weeks old today, doing really well. She is a joy and I am so lucky to have her. Those of you on facebook can see pictures of her regularly, day by day she looks more just like her daddy. I still haven't figured out how to put pic up here so if you are interested, send me a pm with your name and I find you on facebook.. I have more milk but still need to top her up with formula as it is still not enough. I am taking supplements to boost my supply, hopefully I can stop formula soon. My friends and brother are completely in love with her, we have visitors all the time. I think I am doing ok though very emotional sometimes, my bad luck for 2012 hasn't ended just yet.
My grandma sadly passed away 2 weeks ago, I really wanted to see her but couldn't go. I got the birth certificate on time and passport office was brilliant, they gave me an immediate appointment to get her passport fast track guaranteed delivery for yesterday. Our flight was booked for last night, in theory we could have easily flown home for christmas but the courier company messed up and did not deliver passport. I was devastated but after a good cry I decided it was fate and I just had to get on with it. I have no idea now when passport will come but i will try to get a last minute flight.
I finally heard from life insurance company, they paid out on Saturday. The money currently sits on my saving account, I will need to transfer it to his father account, just waiting for him to send me the details. The money will help them a lot, I hope they will now face a bit brighter future. Obv it won't replace my Oh but at least it will ease the financial strain.
I also submitted Baby Kavics' dna to the clinic, waiting for the results. Than i can start court proceedings. I miss my Oh, wherever he is I hope he is watching over us.0 -
Your post has made me cry so can only imagine what you are going through. So lovely that you and your daughter are now together and she seems to be doing great. So sad about your gran and the passport not arriving. I do hope you get home for christmas.
I am sure your OH is watching over and is so proud of how you are coping with everything. Hugs and merry christmas to you both xx0 -
Kavics, I'm very sorry to hear about your Grandma and the passport, what a nightmare. I hope you manage to get that last minute flight after all.
You've handled everything that's been thrown at you this year so well, and I'm sure your OH is watching over you and so proud of his girls.
I hope you have a lovely Christmas and that 2013 is a better one for you."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Passport was out for delivery today but hasn't arrived. I am officially giving up, i can't stay at home one more day, i am going crazy!0

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter Kavics! I'm very sorry about your grandmother...
It's outrageous that you missed your flight because the passport didn't turn up! Do you have any tracking details? Maybe see if they can offer any compensation for you missing your flight?0 -
I do have tracking. I paid for fast track, guaranteed delivery on the 17th. It didn't happen bec of courier company not picking it up from ips. Today it says out for delivery but it hasn't turned up. At this stage all i want is the passport, i don't care about compensation.0
-
Dearest kavics, we can understand your not caring about compensation, but please add it to your to-do list, then tuck it away for baby or perhaps a tree or something permanent by way of memorial to your grandmother, notwithstanding all the real memories you have, to which your beautiful daughter is a continuing, daily changing direct link.
Courier company has failed you - AND IPS! - absolutely.
That missed flight is a consequential loss.
You have gone through your own tough times; now there is a company legally liable for this sort of quantifiable, proven, financial loss. They can and should recompense you as a family.
Bless you both.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Passport got delivered at 10.30pm. I was asleep, my neighbour kept banging on the door to wake me up and sign for delivery. Baby kavics is having a feed and I am checking flight tickets, we might make it for Christmas!0

Oh, I do hope so kavics.
You have a good reason for being on green light still; mine is a large preserving pan of pepper relish simmering.
Fingers crossed for you.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
