Best cash ISA to transfer into

The headline ISA rates seem to be for accounts that are only for new money and won't allow the inwards transfer of cash from the ISAs of years gone by; does anyone know the top payer that allows inwards transfers from other ISAs?

Next year's allowance will go into one of the top payers (Barclay's is looking good) but I'd like to knmow that the previous years' ISA cash is performing as well as it can.

I am looking for the same. So far the best I can find: Ruffler (?) Bank, but only if you can deposit at least 15,000 (this can include new money as well as transfered funds) at 5.9 per cent, or else Kent Reliant (?) at I think 5.7 per cent.

Can you transfer money from 2 ISA's into one new account ie 6000 and 3000 into the Rufflers account?

As I read it (although that was a few days ago and I was just skimming) if you're a new ISA customer they want 15000 to open one, so that's five years' worth of mini cash ISAs; come back in two years!

Kent Reliance are even better than Voyager though - 5.71% (LOL)... They are probably the best for transfers in of less than £15k.
  • Hi Jim b

I am looking for the same as you so I will be interested to see what replies you get. I also want to know if ruffler isa account has any penalties when you want to move it on again.
It is unwise to pay too much but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, all you lose is a little money... that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot...it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better (John Ruskin - 19 ctry author, art critic & social reformer)
  • I have been trying to find the answer to this question for some time and I look forward to hearing the views of some of the experts.

    Hi,
Scarborough look good at 6.10% and they allow you to transfer in. I only have a small amount invested with them, but they've always been extremely efficient.
